Dr. W. Jim Britt began preaching at the age of fourteen, and has been an effective pastor, author, evangelist, Bible teacher, and missionary for over forty-five years. He is founder and President of W. Jim Britt Ministries, Inc., an international organization who's ministry has extended into over fifty countries around the world.

He is Chancellor of International Bible Institute, and Adjunct Professor of Pastoral Ministries at Trinity Seminary. He is a "full member" of the Evangelical Theological Society, a professional society of Biblical scholars involved in evangelical scholarship worldwide.

Dr. Britt is a graduate of Georgia Southwestern State University, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and holds doctorates from Luther Rice Seminary (D.Min.), and Trinity Seminary/Canterbury Christ Church University, Canterbury, England (Ph.D). He is a member of the Omicron-Psi Honor Society.

He has traveled throughout the United States and over fifty foreign countries preaching the Gospel of Christ. Dr. Britt and his wife, Judi, make their home in the beautiful mountains of northeast Georgia. They have been married 42 years and are the parents of three children, and have eight grandchildren.
