Background

Some history...

Steve has been in the building industry since 1974, starting as an apprentice carpenter. In 1989 he founded Windswept Custom Homes, specializing in the construction of one of a kind custom homes and remodeling. His commitment to quality construction, integrity, and personalized service define Windswept Custom Homes.
Steve has a true passion for building and he spends most of his time on the job site where he is most comfortable working and supervising construction. Steve’s broad experience and commitment to staying abreast of new building technologies enable Windswept Custom Homes to produce a project that can be enjoyed for generations. By using proven quality materials and methods you are assured an exceptionally built and energy efficient project. In addition, each member of the Windswept Custom Homes team pays unwavering attention to detail in every aspect of the building process. That's why you will find that our work is truly distinctive.
Liz Kovach has served on the HBRACC Board of Directors since 1995, served as HBRACC President from 2002 - 2004, and is a HBMA Code Committee member.
She also served on the MA Board of Building Regulation & Standards’ (BBRS) Task Force on Hurricane Resistant Construction and was instrumental in a successful code amendment for Cape Cod. She currently serves on the BBRS Continuing Education Committee. Her personal attention to details and organizational skills are assets that are critical in the custom building business.
Liz earned the Certified Green Professional (CGP) designation form the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Let us review how we can incorporate "Green" principles in your project.

Work Philosophy

How we approach a project...

Communication, teamwork, and on-site supervision of projects from beginning, to end are the keys to our success and your happiness. Our experienced team of carpenters and professional subcontractors share our commitment to provide a quality product. We truly believe that we offer superior service, with a high level and continuity of quality because of our experience, size, and "hands on" approach to our business.
We are experienced in managing the construction of homes for clients that live out of the area, who are not able to participate in weekly site visits. With frequent phone, fax, and / or e-mail communication, we will guide you through the fun, exciting, and rewarding process of building a custom home or addition that you will enjoy for many years to come. You can be assured that your project will be handled in a professional, yet personal manner, where you will feel comfortable and at ease.
