Provide "general counsel" - type services to owners, architects, engineers, and contractors regarding operational and strategic issues. Assist in developing new markets domestically and internationally by providing appropriate legal and business counseling. Through an extensive network of industry contacts, provide access to appropriate financial and operational expertise tailored to fit the circumstances.
International Market Development.
Help firms with growing international sales to rationalize their business structures in order to maximize legal protection, minimize tax burden, and enhance profitability.
Contract Development, Review, and Drafting.
Provide practical, even-handed contract solutions for all project types, draft standard or specialized contracts, and assist in negotiations.
Project Counseling.
Offer practical, prompt advice regarding project - related issues and disputes.
Claims Resolution and Collection Services.
Assist in negotiating equitable resolutions to claims and disputes which arise during and after the project, while helping to maintain and build the parties' business relationship.
Construction Mediation / Construction Arbitration.
Serve as neutral mediator or arbitrator in complex, multi-party construction disputes taking an active and aggressive role in bringing the parties to a settlement. Qualified Neutral (facilitative/hybrid) under Rule 114 of the Minnesota Rules of General Practice.
Litigation and Litigation Management.
Provide litigation services, or assist in the management of an existing legal team. Focus on understanding the litigants' business goals, and work to develop a resolution which will meet those goals. Conduct "ADR" services such as mediation and arbitration presentations, and act as counsel of record in litigated matters.
Training.
Using the case-study method, provide intensive and practical training to management and operations personnel. Conduct seminars for in-house staff focusing on issues of particular interest to them.
