• For many years we were building frames, mostly custom made.
• We started making a series of Road, Touring, Track,and then in 1977/8 BMX arrived Frank Clavis was approached by a group of teenagers who had some American magazines showing a new bike BMX.
• A prototype was made that was the start of Pantha BMX and the begining of BMX in NZ.
• Then was the purchase of the Bosomworth plant and the introduction of 26"wheel triathlon bikes in big demand. Many of these were made under the 'Clavis' brand with World, Ironman and local  success's.A few Bosomworth frames mainly track were made.
• Aluminium arrived with its mass production and cheap labour.......that was the demise of many frame builders.
• WE ARE BACK and into cro- moly frame building .

Columbus tubing: Spirit, Life, Zona and very soon SL !

Taiwan tubing: a high quality set similar to Zona.

We now have stainless steel tubing by Columbus, these can be built as butt welded only. Tube sizing is OS not traditional 25.4 or 28.5 sizes. All with Ahead steerer.

'Bosomworth 'will be our classic road model built in line with Italian geometry for stock models with 'bare clearances' braze-ons to suit modern grouppo's /or custom to suit classic components. Touring models will be more relaxed with 'mudguard clearance' and braze ons for racks  etc. All frames will be lugged

'Velomaster' will be our track model with sprint  geometry and velodrome bottom bracket heights. A more relaxed 'pursuit' /roadies model is available.Clearances for tubulars or where allowed low profile clinchers.

Fixie frames will be based on track geometry with 'brake clearances' to suit 700x 23 tyres and caliper brakes, forks either 1" threaded steerer, or 1.1/8" ahead. Lugs or butt brazed. We also will be offering Columbus Stainless Steel tubing.

There will be a choice of different paint colours and styles all Dupont paint.

Lug styles will range from classic Italian, English curly lugs  and other styles( to be shown)with drop outs and bottom brackets to match. Chrome plating as required.
