This is a place for friends, relatives and anyone else to post a comment before, during or after Tim and Jonny's Big Summer Trip 2002. Let us know: Is Tim crazy for taking on all that driving? Is Jonny crazy for taking on all that time with Tim? What happens if Jonny decides in Pennsylvania that he'd rather go to summer camp after all?

Do you have any suggestions for places to visit? Places to eat? Routes to drive? Ways to stay awake behind the wheel? Would you like us to come and stay with you? Would you rather we just do a driveby and you can wave at us as we go past? Do you want to come along on part of the trip? If you could, where would you like to ride along?

As for the great adventures of Johnny & Tim, sounds like a ripoff of the circle trip I did with my boys when they were a bit younger than Johnny. Big difference though. You guys are planning the whole trip out. The Circle trip started with Cody whinning that he had never had any "adventures" like I had. My response was, you want adventure, I can arrange that. Just go on a trip and don't plan anything more than the direction you want to travel. So, Cody, being the cocky little shit that he is, says, 'okay, let's go to the ocean.' So, I take off three weeks from work, we gas up the Suburban, load up the camping equipment, I hand them an atlas and say, "see that blue stuff, that's the ocean. see those red and black lines, those are roads. you tell me which highway to turn on. I'll drive, you navigate." We (I) drove three thousand miles, pretty much the western loop of your trip, in three weeks. We camped twenty nights and stayed in hotels four or five nights. Even saw the ocean...

Ah.... brings back some fond memories. Maybe I'll come too...
