You may only deduct medical expenses which are specifically identified by Tax Law.
You may also only take those expenses which you paid yourself during the year. If you were reimbursed for all or part of your payments, you must subtract that reimbursement.
In addition, you may only deduct the medical expenses that exceed 7.5% of your adjusted gross income.
