Rudd Rink Procedures The Board of Salisbury Youth Hockey, together with the Athletic Department of Salisbury School, has adopted the following policies for the conduct of the Salisbury Redhawks ice hockey program at its home in Rudd Rink. Unsupervised children are not permitted to use the Warm Room. In addition, always discard your trash, take your belongings with you, and put the furniture back where you found it. The loss of Warm Room privileges could work an extreme hardship on those parents with infant children or with more than one child in different programs. Playing stickball or street hockey is not allowed inside the rink. Hockey sticks should be used only on the ice. Players should put all their clothing, shoes and other possessions in their hockey bags and put their bags in one corner of the locker room before they go out on the ice for a game or practice. This will permit the next group of skaters to use the locker room while the previous group is on the ice. The team waiting to go on the ice for a game or practice should assemble on the benches at the far end of the aisle (next to the varsity locker room), fully dressed, five minutes before the end of the prior game or practice. This will allow the team coming off the ice to proceed directly to an empty locker room. Players and parents should not use the benches in the aisle for changing clothes, tying skates or for storing bags or equipment. Players and parents should the skate rooms or locker rooms. The use of the skate rooms and locker rooms is a privilege afforded by Salisbury School. Please make sure that the players take all their equipment and dispose of trash after a game or practice session. Park only in the designated areas at the ice level! Do not force the school to tow vehicles parked in the fire lanes or on the lawn.
We need the cooperation of all the players, coaches and parents to maintain good relations with Salisbury School. Please do your part.
