Rail Training Railroad and In-Plant Switcher Training In-Plant Switching
The purpose of this class is to assist companies that work around an in-plant rail switching operations. The program is geared as a general rules program for all classes of service which may work in or around an in-plant switcher. Ø Safety While Walking in a Rail Yard Ø Blue Flag & Derail Protection Ø Restricted or Close Clearance Ø Handling Switches & Derails Ø Switching Safely Ø Working Around Rail Equipment Ø Personal Protective Equipment Ø Safety Rules & Safe Work Practices Ø In-Plant Locomotive Operation Railroad Operating Rule STS can provide instructors for shortlines and regional railroads that need to conduct annual rules recertification programs.
