I visited Washington, DC from 23-30 June 2005.  I traveled from Chicago to Washington on Amtrak's Capital Limited. I have mentioned that I am traveling to Washington on Amtrak’s Capitol Limited, because I received my Amtrak ticket as a result of being the high bidder at the silent auction held at the Midwest High Speed Rail Association ( http://www.midwesthsr.org/  ) Annual Meeting.

I am a consulting energy economist. Passenger rail is an efficient user of energy.
