COP15 (Copenhagen 2009) is expected to design an ambitious post-Kyoto (2013) climate change mitigation agreement (Copenhagen Protocol). President Obama and the Democratic majority in Congress have pledged that the US will help to establish and then join the Copenhagen Protocol. An ambitious US climate change mitigation program will start to significantly reduce to dangers of excess carbon in the atmosphere. China recently stated that it would have serious climate change mitigation program.  

Michael specializes in helping clients with the drafting of serious, ambitious climate change mitigation treaties.  Michael is no "Johnny-come-late" to this work.  For his American high school science project (1961-Niles Township High School, Skokie, IL), he tried to grow algae. The algae were not too helpful. He read the Club of Rome report when it came out.  He though about energy policy while he was an E-3 in the USAR 308th Civil Affairs Unit.
