Mr. Ring has over twenty-five years of civil litigation including 9 years primarily in insurance defense and 16 years in complex commercial and tort litigation.

He has successfully represented clients in the areas of negligence, products liability, consumer rights, investor relations, securities fraud, fiduciary duties, construction liability, unfair competition, trade secrets, non-compete agreements, commercial transactions, employment contracts, licensing agreements, and technology law. He has tried well over 100 trials to conclusion including bench and jury trials.

His appellate experience includes brief-writing and oral argument in both of the Maryland appellate courts and in the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. His appeals have included:

He received his law degree from Boston University in 1977, and his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College in 1974. He is admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia, is active in continuing legal education programs, and has held a number of elected and appointed positions with the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland.
