We live in an increasingly complicated world.  Clients need legal services more than ever, but they continue to put up with multiple layers of lawyers providing complicated, unnecessary and expensive legal services.  Our goal is to simplify and humanize complex and abstract legal issues and make legal services accessible and understandable to individuals, families and small to medium-sized businesses.

Our History - Kre8tive Law Group was started by Andrea Riccio, a former "Bay Street" lawyer, who recognized early in his career that the marketplace lacked accessible and affordable quality legal services for middle class families and smaller businesses.

We threw out the traditional law firm model of a group of lawyers whose sole goal is to feed a large pyramid structure with as many billable hours as possible without regard for the value of the work to the client.  By flattening the pyramid and getting rid of the billable hour, the Kre8tive Law team is free to deliver legal services that are a tangible value-creating asset to you or your business.

Our Approach - Everything about the Kre8tive Law Group is designed to stimulate creativity, efficiency and value.  We occupy modest but highly functional space outside the expensive downtown core.  Each member of our firm has access to the best available technology and a variety of on-line resources.  We are able to maintain contact with each other (and therefore our clients) from anywhere in the world.

Our Fees - We have replaced the billable hour with a fixed-price value based billing model that allows you to accurately budget legal expenses and, more importantly, control the scope and cost of your legal work.  We do not pass on telephone charges, internal copying and fax charges, postage and secretarial overtime.  These costs are part of our operating cost and not an opportunity to pass overhead inefficiencies onto you.  In matters involving unusual third-party expenses, we consult with you first.

Our People - Eliminating the overhead and billing burden allows our team to focus on your needs and not the firm's.  It allows us to come up with solutions that are not only cost-effective, but more importantly, make a measurable contribution to your personal and business success.  Our teams are focused, empowered, creative and accountable.

Our Network - We only do legal work that we can do exceedingly well. If we think someone outside of our firm can add value to your work, we will either refer you to them or incorporate them into your Kre8tive Law service team.  Kre8tive Law Group is a member of the International Association of Cooperative Independent Law Firms.  Through our network of contacts in North America and abroad we are able to secure and co-ordinate the activities of local counsel and experts in many specialized disciplines when required by our clients
