Rockin' at the Ace Café: Cafe Racer Mix
I wrote R.A.T.A.C. in 1973, inspired by my first visit to the original Ace in London in 1961 at the age of 15. A 7" EP version recorded with the Sabrejets was released on the Blueport label in 1979. There are several other recorded versions, including a solo acoustic recording released on the Goldmist CD Mile After Mile.

My son DJ Munro engineered and produced this Cafe Racer Mix, recorded in 1998 to celebrate the re-opening of the Ace Café by Mark and Linda Wilsmore. London DJ Wildcat Pete played it loud over the P.A. system in the Ace Café car park at the Ace's 1st birthday bash in December, 1998 and rockers revved their engines in harmony. This and the Sabrejets' vinyl version of the song are now widely available on the NEON REELS CD, newly released by Revel Yell Music, Japan.
