At last! Godolphin now have their hands on the Holy Grail - the Melbourne Cup. A determined effort with multiple representatives the job of winning went to the Charlie Appleby trained Cross Counter - a lightly raced 4 year old (3yo by southern hemisphere time) by Teofilo. The boy from Streaky Bay in South Australia - Kerrin McEvoy - rode the winner and adds another Cup trophy to the two he already owns courtesy of Brew and Almandin. Australian racing history was made at Moonee Valley Racecourse on Saturday 28 October 2018 when the mare Winx, trained by Chris Waller and ridden by Hugh Bowman, won her fourth W S Cox Plate in succession. It was a memorable day with a crowd in excess of 38,000 bearing witness to the great feat - erupting into a mighty roar as she hit the lead rounding the home turn.
Toronado continues to produce winner after winner in Europe and we are ecstatic over this yearling filly - winter coat and all - out of our mare The French House. You won't miss her with that bold blaze - a racetrack stunner for sure!
