DEEP FEELING THERAPY: Healing at the Most Profound, Core Level
Uniquely different from traditional talk therapy, Deep Feeling Therapy allows for the full expression of deeply buried hurts and emotions so that long standing disorders are resolved and healed at the most profound, core level.
Deep Feeling Therapy is for those individuals who are highly motivated to explore buried, repressed feelings and deeply commited to re-experiencing them in a full, cathartic way. Click on the YouTube video and watch Dr. Paul's in segment on Strange Universe.
The Benefits The Benefits of Deep Feeling Therapy
All disorders have at their roots, some aspect of painful distortion of early reality and suppression of feeling. Deep Feeling Therapy allows individuals who are not completely closed down to release enough feeling to create change within a relatively short period of time.
Personality and mood disorders change as buried emotions (tears, cries, screams, anger, and joy) are expressed and years of repression are released. Self-fragmentation or the feeling of "being disconnected" diminishes and integration/wholeness of self is achieved. Depression, anxiety, fear, timidness, and self-doubt disappear as one becomes more emotionally grounded.
Once these upper emotional layers are worked through, the client typically settles down to a continuous steady cleansing and exorcising of deeper levels of feeling. Gradually through the use of music evocation, deep breathing, sound mentation, free association and therapist emotional reflection, the more authentic, healing parts of the self emerge. Life now goes through rapid changes as one becomes more assertive, happy, self-confident and real.

Feeling Experience Learning to Cry Again
Most people enter therapy within a cognitive framework. Within the context of Deep Feeling Therapy, one learns how to use words to access feelings from a deeper, more integrative level.
At times, an individual's deep emotional pain is so blocked that anger may be the first emotion worked. A huge punching bag and a baseball bat are provided for the anger/rage work, as well as a fully soundproofed room for deep feeling release.
It is important for the client to vent and verbalize held in thoughts and feelings, while focusing attention on the inner relevant characters. Continual expression of one's rage eventually leads to huge breakthroughs to deeper, bottom line emotional pain, where full emotional expression and catharsis can take place.
Talking or Feeling? No, BOTH! The Curative Power of Feelings
Deep Feeling Therapy goes beyond the traditional "talk" therapy. By recognizing and working through one's verbal defenses and outmoded coping strategies, the client learns how to release and reclaim the buried feelings that were repressed by unmet need.
Many therapists still believe talk therapy to be the main method of cure, while the release of emotional pain is adjunctive to talking. In Deep Feeling Therapy, Cognitive therapy is integrated. Together, they allow for deeper emotional release and cognitive reconstruction. If verbal communication is not connected to deeper emotional release, it may contribute to and reinforce emotional and mental disorders and symptoms. Only by systematically releasing repressed, buried feelings will dysfunction lift, allowing true understanding and healing to take place. Full feeling expression becomes the integrative force behind the birth of the "real" self, thus ensuring a life of renewed productivity and meaningful, fulfilling contact with self and others.
For real transformation and change, I have found deep feeling release to be the preferred method of cure, with talk therapy as adjunctive.

If you prefer, your autobiography can be emailed to us, as long as it arrives before your scheduled appointment day.
On paper, please describe in as much detail as possible:
Tell why you are seeking help at this time of your life and why you are particularly seeking a Deep Feeling type of therapy.
Describe yourself, your family and present life situation.
Give as much detail as you can concerning the circumstances surrounding childhood: birth (emotional and physical dynamics; early and present day medical issues; where you were born and raised; relationships with your parents, siblings, grandparents, etc. Described key events (both positive and traumatic) that impacted you and how.
Include your childhood, teenage and adult years - with its love relationships, engagements, marriages, breakups, divorces, deaths, losses and gains.
If difficulties concern a minor or significant other living at home with you, please include as much information about that individual too. When did the behavior begin? Were there any events in his/her life that triggered its onset?
Give a brief occupational history and include descriptions concerning moods, anxiety and personality. Also include data concerning alcohol and substance abuse, smoking, and medications that you are presently taking.
Give a description of your cultural and spiritual background and history, if any. What religious or spiritual methods have you practiced or used?
