Juvederm Ultra with Lidocaine Now Available

Perhaps you are familiar with Juverderm, the dermal filler that can be injected into the skin to reduce fine lines and wrinkles in the face. If you're a fan of Juvederm, you might be interested to know that the company which makes it (Allergan) has just released Juvederm ULTRA. The new product is being called "the next generation in dermal fillers".

The main difference between Juverderm and Juvederm ULTRA is that the new version includes Lidocaine. This ingredient helps to numb the skin so that the injections are essentially painless. Reports indicate that four out of five patients receiving the injections felt little to no discomfort. There are three different versions of the new product which are currently available on the European market.

Juvederm ULTRA 4:
(2 x 1.0 ml syringes, 27G needle) A highly cross-linked robust formulation for volumising and correction of deeper folds and wrinkles, including enhancing volume in the cheeks and chin. This formulation should not be injected into the glabella (frown lines) or into the areas under the eyes. Juvederm Ultra 4, the thickest formulation, is recommended for volumising and correction of deep wrinkles and for facial contouring, including lip volume. $379.00

Juvederm ULTRA 4:
(2 x 0.8ml syringes, 27G needle) A highly cross-linked robust formulation for volumising and correction of deeper folds and wrinkles, including enhancing volume in the cheeks and chin. This formulation should not be injected into the glabella (frown lines) or into the areas under the eyes. Juvederm Ultra 4, the thickest formulation, is recommended for volumising and correction of deep wrinkles and for facial contouring, including lip volume. $329.00

Juvederm ULTRA 3:
(2 x 0.55ml syringes, 27G needle) A highly cross-linked formulation for more versatility in contouring and volumising medium to deep facial lines and skin depressions, such as nasolabial folds. Also enhances lip contour and volume. Juvederm 3, a thicker gel, allows more versatility in contouring and volumising, facial lines and naso-labial folds, filling deeper wrinkles and enhancing lip volume. $249.00

Juvederm ULTRA 2:
(2 x 0.55ml syringes, 30G needle) A highly cross-linked formulation for the subtle correction of medium facial lines and skin depressions. Also enhances lip contour. Juvederm Ultra 2 is recommended for mid- to superficial dermis, for superficial wrinkles and for lip definition. $229.00
