Every Thursdays at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, and Saturdays at the Archives building on the grounds of the Iolani Palace avid Hawaiian quilters meet to perpetuate one of Hawaii's most cherised traditions. Most of our quilting enthusiasts are not from only Hawaii but all around the world we've even had students from as far as Hungary. But no matter what our ethnicity or where we come from we all have one thing in common our appreciation for quilting. Here at the quilting classes I've met the most wonderful group of people. Some are long time residence, some stay with us for several weeks, even several months and some are here for only one day. I've become friends with several of the women and some I will never see again but I feel we have truly touched each others lives. To all the quilters from the Poakalani Hawaiian Quilting Class  thank you for loving my favorite past time "Hawaiian Quilting". Your friendship and enthusiam will never be forgotton.

Completed in four months, working ten hours a day Yoshinobu completed his quilt in record time. Even though this quilt was finished in such a short period of time, fine intricate stitches can be seen throughout the quilt. Congratulations and Thank You for sharing this beautiful quilt with us. Quilted by Yoshinobu and Designed by John Serrao. This quilt pattern is a brand new personal design of Yoshinobu. Not available for personal or commercial use. Copyright 2003

Using Your Keiki Designs
We see some of our quilters only 2 weeks out of the year and when they return they bring with them their completed full-size quilts. Just by using the smaller baby size quilt and adding a border you can enlarge your design to a full-size design. Designed by John Serrao
