Keiko Sakamoto

Keiko Sakamoto

Some people come to our quilting classes for just a short brief stay, some come and go, some leave a lasting impression and a rare few becomes an integral part of my quilting family, and one of those rare people is Keiko Sakamoto. Keiko Sakamoto started quilting at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center in July of 1999 Already an expert in sewing and quilting Keiko decided to join our class to expand her sewing knowledge of Hawaiian quilting. Now four years later Keiko's quilts have become masterpieces not only because of her fine quilting sitches but also because of her knowledge of color coordination. She not only makes quilts for friends and familes but also commission quilts for lucky individuals who is able to hire her expertise. Since meeting several years ago Keiko now assists us in the Poakalani Quilting classes, in fact I'm not sure what we would do with out her. She's a master certified quilter and instructor, friend, consultant, interpretor and teacher to all the students of the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. Thank you Keiko.
