Church Staff
Senior Pastor Peter Luckey is originally from Connecticut and has a B.A. from Colby College in Maine and a M.Div and Doctor of Ministry Degree from The Chicago Theological Seminary. Prior to his call at Plymouth, Peter served nine years as Senior Pastor of the Pilgrim Congregational Church in Oak Park, Illinois, a multi-racial church situated in an integrated community.
During Rev. Luckey's leadership at Plymouth over the last 14 years Plymouth has constructed a new south church housing the Head Start Preschool program, Sunday School classrooms, offices, choir room and the Althaus Chapel. The north side of the church was renovated providing a new business office, kitchen and fellowship hall. In his words, "Given today's hectic and confusing times, my vision for Plymouth is to be a church that strengthens the faith of all and seeks to be a visible active presence of God's love in the world."
Peter is married to Linda Luckey. Currently, Linda is the Assistant to the Senior Vice Provost at KU. The Luckeys have two sons, Christopher and Daniel.
