Metatarsal Pad  - Tear shaped modification to the orthotic or a positive representation of the foot to raise the metatarsal heads.  Typically, it begins proximally at the metatarsal bases and gradually thickens and widens till  just proximal to metatarsal heads, where it thins in height and narrows in width, ending distally at the metatarsal heads.
