Pelican Dunes at Crescent

Located near the southern end of Anastasia Island, on Florida's historic Highway A1A between St. Augustine and Marineland (to see a map, go to "South from St. Augustine" on the Maps link using the button to the left). Our private home is noted for breathtaking view of a four-mile stretch of the Intracoastal Waterway, its marshes, and Fort Matanzas--all from one of three covered decks.
We also have a view of the Atlantic, but it has narrowed since the construction of a 14,000 sq. ft. mansion between us and the ocean. Segments of the ocean can also be viewed in the spaces between other ocean-front homes.
In the picture above, the place looks like a single-story bungalow. But what you see is the third floor, the portion above the trees. This photo was taken from the roof of the mansion mentioned above when it was under construction. The background is the marsh, the Matanzas River (Intracoastal Waterway), and the mainland of Florida to the west.

Rent by the week

Our newly remodeled three-bedroom home is just 300 feet from the Department of Natural Resources Coastal Setback line. (In 2003, we added two rooms and a full bath on the ground floor, and installed an elevator. The elevator is currently unavailable, and locked however)
Stroll our private pathway through the palmettos and over the dunes to one of the widest and cleanest stretches of uncommercialized Atlantic beach along Florida's First Coast. To see the above picture more clearly, click on "Picture Gallery" to the left.
Generally, we rent for full weeks, from Saturday afternoon to the following Saturday morning. Monthly rentals usually must be arranged about eight months in advance. Less-than-full-week rentals are not "locked in" more than one month ahead of time.
