The "Avalon Peninsula Rockhounder " is a one day geological tour which includes traversing the Avalon Peninsula's unique geology. This tour is guided and facilitated by a geologist with many years experience in the mineral exploration industry across Newfoundland and Labrador and Canada and is moderately Spanish speaking. The tour will present opportunities to gather samples of locally found rocks minerals and fossils. There will also be visits to unique geological locations, a former mine and a presently operating mine.
