Afternoon Tea at The Plaza Hotel, NY |
AFTERNOON TEA AT THE PLAZA HOTEL, NY Afternoon Tea at the Plaza Hotel is New York’s answer to relaxation, sophistication and good taste. It all takes place at the Palm Court, located in the main level of the hotel. New Yorkers gather here every afternoon from 2 to 5 pm to enjoy a moment of pure pleasure and delicious food, steps away from the bustle of Central Park. Service is polite, elegant and friendly from the moment you enter. The Palm court is tastefully decorated with large arrangements of fresh flowers, impeccable white tablecloths, and beautiful table service. The entire presentation spells elegance, comfort and relaxation. |

| Executive Chef Willis Loughhead who previously headed several “Micheline One Star” restaurants; and Pastry Chef Jasmina Bojic formerly from Tavern On The Green, have created four tea menus: The Classic with a display of scones, tea sandwiches and pastries ($45); The New Yorker with organic roast beef on a pretzel roll, black and white cookies, and New York cheesecake ($45); The Chocolate Tea that includes a sumptuous chocolate fondue ($55); and The Eloise Tea for children, based on the most famous six year old hotel guest ($28). Tea service arrives at your table on lovely three-tier trays. Lemon Curd, Raspberry jam, and Devon Cream accompany the scones, and there is a selection of several champagnes by the glass ($20). |

The tea selection includes thirteen natural blends to meet the most sophisticated palate. Afternoon tea is the perfect ending to a shopping day in the city, before heading back home. The Plaza Hotel is located at 1 West 59 Street, New York 10019. Tel. 212.546.5300 |

Beaujoilais Nouveau Et Arrive Casa Casuarina celebrated the uncorking of the 2008 Beaujoilais Nouveau with a sumptuous lunch and an elaborate event. The celebration was officially launched with the arrival of Miami chefs and media personalities escorting Duboeuf Winemaker Stephane Queralt with the first case of Beaujoilais Nouveau 2008. Sommeliers Charlie Arturaola from Lynn University, and Zarko Stankovik from Casa Casaurina toasted the chefs and crowd with the first glass of Beuajoilais. Chef Dale Ray’s lunch for the event included Sea Urchin, beef tenderloin, a combination of French and Spanish cheese, and of course the 2008 Duboeuf Beaujoilais Nouveau. Food presentation matched the elegant and beautiful décor of the event.
