1) The Wines of Tuscany in Renaissance Times – The great historical families of the Renaissance, including the Antinori’s, Frescobaldi’s, Medici’s, and Strozzi’s, also ruled the wine production of the 1500’s. Sip and learn about the wines that were part of dinner in the Courts of Florence that we can still find in wine shops today. Enjoy a class of rich culture with the great whites and reds from the Central Tuscany.

2) Grand Tour de France: Bordeaux, One of a Kind Wines!

France’s Bordeaux region was one of the first areas to classify their wines. Learn about its communes, the interesting story about how they earned their reputation, and why these wines ruled the beginning of winemaking in the world. We will cover the wines of Napoleon and Thomas Jefferson, and see how the Rothschild’s earned their wine status back in 1900. Come and taste some of the greatest white and red wines from the famous Bordeaux appellations.

3) Powerful Reds, Delicious Whites – the new Spanish Armada is Spain’s new Vinos!!

The Iberian peninsula has been producing wine for 2000 years, but recent wine techniques and great enology has introduced amazing wines with great value to our market. We’ll taste the regions of Priorat, Jumilla and Galicia. It’s not only for their quality that Spanish wines have been gaining new admirers and international attention, they are quite reasonably priced. Come and enjoy as you learn about both whites & reds. The history of California wine-making dates back to around 1875, but who were the pioneers and producers that made California a world renowned viticulture area today? AVA’s Oakville is one of the most known and produces top quality reds. Come learn about the vineyards in the area with more than 100 years experience as you taste wines from the heart of Napa Valley.

6) The American Grape, Zinfandel: Its Pioneers and History

Wine connoisseurs recognize the Zinfandel as the flagship grape of America. Taste part of our viticulture history as you learn how this grape came to California and who the ones to grow them were. Great wines with a distinctive taste profile, a winter grape? Enjoy sipping and finding out how you can pair these deep red wines with chocolate at home… and surprise your guests!!

7) Sunday Barbeques by the pool beg for the Velvety Malbecs

For many years Argentina has been producing some of the finest Malbec wines in the world. Their favorite pastime, the asado (barbeque), has a perfect companion; a great bottle of Mendoza’s best. If you are a merlot drinker, this is the class for you. If you are only a cabernet wino, come and learn about Malbec and its profile. It is elegant on the palate, so velvety and jammy that you’ll be asking for more. Lynn’s own Chef Craig will roast the most flavorful bites to accompany the selection of wines perfectly.

8) Dim Sum… Sushi… Thai… and the Wines to Pair with Them!
