The Heid-Bassett Blues Insurgents
This is a re-release of Johnnie Bassett's very first  featured recording which was originally released on cassette only, now available on CD for the first time.  Also featuring is the legendary Bill Heid on piano, vocals and Hammond organ.  Many of these songs are sung by Bill on this recording, but were later recorded with Johnnie doing the vocals.   The CD features a two BB King covers as well as many fine originals by Bill which range from jump to boogie-woogie to mellow jazzy blues ala Charles Brown.
