Wichita, Kansas is the home of NITRAM RECORDS. NITRAM RECORDS is the label of the group Family Friend. In 2005 the group released Live In Albuquerque. The project was recorded live in the exclusive Rocky Crest area, of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The eleven (11) track CD is worthy of your attention.
From that Live recording, the label has released two (2) videos. They are 23rd Psalms and Standing By. Both videos deserve to be on the airways on a regular basis.
The Group -
Family Friend consists of W D Martin, Jr., Minister Enois Scroggins and Octavio Rolfe. Mr. Martin is a Producer, Promoter, Musician, Lead Vocalist, Background Vocalist, Song Writer and Keyboardist. Minister Scroggins is a Producer, Musician, Lead Vocalist, Song Writer, and sings Background Vocals. Mr. Rolfe is a Promoter, Song Writer, Lead Vocalist, and sings Background Vocals.
With the exceptional talent these gentlemen possess, it is not surprising that Family Friend would deliver great recordings. The CD they released is extraordinary. And, the videos are some of the best to be released by gospel artists in quite sometime.
23rd Psalms
The group has made singing the 23rd Psalm very easy. They move through the verses to the 23rd Psalm with such ease. It leaves you to wonder why others have not recorded this Psalm in the manner in which it has been recorded by Family Friend.
The guys are on stage for this video. You are able to focus on the singers and not be distracted by any unnecessary activity on the stage. Only the musicians occur in the background.
The quality of the sound is outstanding. There are no variations in the recording level. The lighting is great. The cameras are focus on the guys throughout the song. Therefore, you get to truly enjoy the guys ministering with the 23rd Psalm in song.
Standing By
The video begins with the guys singing in a church, backed up by a choir. The scene then changes to a park and from there to various other sceneries. It ends with the guys back in church.
There are some dazzling sceneries throughout this video. The lighting is suburb. The sound quality is outstanding. There are no variations in the recording level.
The song has a message of encouragement and let you know that no matter what is going on, the Lord is Standing By. This video will have you rejoicing and it may be difficult to stay in your seat with this one.
There are no interviews on these videos. However, the videos are outstanding representative of traditional gospel music. In addition, each song will minister to you.
