Sheldon Hodgson has been working with the firm since October of 2001 and is a financial analyst and consultant.  Working in conjunction with Mr. Martin, he has developed the Firm’s propriety software, Financial Q-Plan, based on Microsoft Excel, which is used to model the financial, tax and economic impact of various client scenarios, including income, gift, and estate tax strategies.  In addition, Sheldon has assisted with developing Excel based business modeling tools to assist with “choice of entity” selection and other business transactions for clients with closely held businesses. Sheldon frequently develops Power Point presentations to assist the firm’s clients in seeing graphically and understanding proposed estate or business planning solutions presented by the Firm. 

Sheldon holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Texas Tech University and worked for SBC Communications, Inc. (now ATT) and its subsidiaries for over 29 years. After he retired from middle management with Bell, he taught telecommunications for a semester at Texas A&M University.  Sheldon developed his Excel expertise through budget modeling and planning in his various jobs at Bell and his personal finances for over 20 years.

Kim Wade started with as an assistant and paralegal with firm in August of 2005.  In 2006, she became the Office Manager for the firm.  She assists the firm with various client matters, research, the preparation of documentation, as well as aiding in the general office administration. 

In 2003, Kim graduated Magna Cum Laude from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.  She earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a heavy concentration on the Accounting.  Kim is planning to continue her education and her goal is to become a Certified Paralegal. 

Julie Hormachea has worked as an assistant with firm since July of 2007.  She assists the firm with various matters, including the preparation of client documentation and managing the firm's calendar, as well as aiding in general office administration matters.

Julie was born, raised and currently resides in The Woodlands, Texas with her family.  Before coming to our firm, Julie had an eight year career in the Insurance Industry.

Julie is a member of the Fellowship of The Woodlands Church.  She enjoys church related functions and serves as a volunteer in their Nursing Home Ministry.
