Hi Lucilda, Happy Holidays to you and Ken! I'm sorry I missed your art show, how was it? I loved Making Bubbles! Do you have any copies for sale? If not then when I get some $$ I'll get the notecards. I really like the web layout, and the interactive links, very creative! The blues in your paintings remind me of the Caribbean Sea. What is the name of the painting with the woman, the eyes, and the hand with a piece of paper? I think that one is very spiritual. Well, my dear take care, and I'll let you know if I make it to cold Boston. Peace, Kadidia

You probably do not remember me but I met you on Sat @ the Reggie Lewis Center. I was with my boyfriend & you told him he reminds you of someone. You also talked to me about the concept of the people in the fire painting. I'm not sure if that helps, but anyhow your work blew me away. I found it very inspirational for I am an aspiring artist myself. I felt like your work made a connection with my inner self it was refreshing to my soul. I was wondering if you teach? If so I would be interested. Thank you for sharing your visions. Peace.

Thank you for taking the time to express your response to my work. I do strive to make the work honest and from my heart. This is the quality you have described as "making a connection with the inner self and refreshing to the soul." I am not currently teaching, although I have in the past. However our greatest teacher is our own inner promptings, when we learn to separate our inner critics from our true self - the one you recognise from childhood. This for me is living in the heart. Following the promptings of my heart puts me in the flow of life. The universe weaves the fabric of life, according to our individual mission. Following my heart keeps me true to my mission, making the unfolding of life more coherent, more joyful and more satisfying - in short, blissful. But the struggle for clarity is becoming aware of my beliefs and the subconscious roots of those beliefs which shape my attitudes, behavior and responses. Trying to discover my own hidden agenda can be brutal sommetimes as I have discovered how much easier it is to recognise other's hidden motives while glibly glossing over my own. It's an interesting journey. The paintings are the reult of the journey. We can share studio time if you like - I am at Pearl Street Studios. If you would like to set up dates and times I will be happy to meet with and work with you. Call me.

Hi Lucilda, Thank you for thinking of me. I will spare you the details, but I can't make your Art Affair. Your website is wonderful. Sounds like you are doing well. Are the Rockland Studios in the old factory building by the golf course? I have actually been there. Are you going to be open there during the week? My whole family is in Whitman so I am down there a lot, but usually just during the week. In case I haven't mentioned it, I work weekends! Hope Ken is well. Laurie

I think it is so wonderful to have an identity you can relate to.. and Lucilda you have been priviledged to have that, unadulterated. To see your works so similar to that of my friends born in India is simply amazing how the tradition follows through.. and the identity so strong. Lucilda, I have always said your work is perfect. I love it.. I love you and you are truly and inspiration to me.
Sincerely,

Dear Ms. Cooper,
I came across your website as I was trying to locate links to my Alma maters St. Gregory High School (Dorchester) and St. Patrick's in Roxbury. I could not believe my eyes when I saw your work. I am truly proud to say that I grew up just around the corner from you in Marksdale Gardens (Roxbury) and I am looking for some of your work to purchase for my home. I still live in Boston but work in Cambridge. I pray that you are well and will continue to display such beautiful images as you do.

Thank you so much for sharing so much of yourselves during our visit with you. It was like a mini vacation, a breath of fresh air, and a welcome sigh of relief that so much of nature and God's beauty is expressed by two very spiritually and artistically connected women. Thank you for sharing, Jud and I had a great time with you.

Hello to all my visitors. Boston has been inundated by snow this winter, but after the river melted I noticed definite signs of spring - like the sudden nodes on the trees and then the period of growth where the ends of branches extended sudden skinny fingers. this month I have paintings on display at the exhibit at Bunker Hill Community College's Art Gallery. The gallery curator, Laura Montgomery is displaying "My Mother's Daughter." At L'Essence gallery on Center Street in West Roxbury one of my hatha yoga original painting is on sale, along with original oils of Women lining up to vote in the sun, creating a melody of light and colours, and for winter escape, a seascape of boats bobbing in the Clear Caribbean Sea. I am currently working on watercolors of the Neponset River and the Estuary. If you are in the area, do take a look at the Birds of the Neponset Mural at the Hallet Street entrance to the Pope John Paul II Park where the students of the Youth Conservation Corp, staff and I focused on the birds of the river. Which reminds me of the springtime activity of the birds cavorting as it gets warmer. Stay warm, spring will be here shortly. Lucilda
