April 24th 2001 It's about 12:30pm. Just got back from the park...time to get into shape. Got a show tomorrow. So, yesterday I went for my call-back. I was pleased to know that I was the only one called back out of all the street performers that auditioned. The rest were kids. I can't believe I drove one hour to walk into a room where I waited one minute and audition for 30 sec. I felt like express mail! Anyway, I was excited. Done. One my way to the truck when a friend of my from Canada, the Lovely and beautiful Marilou, called to see what was up. Well, I got distracted as women can do that to me sometimes and locked my keys in the car. Yikes! Not to fear...remember, I used to pick locks (what a fable), and well, got a hanger and whaalaa! The hardest thing wasn't picking the lock, it was finding the hanger. :o) |

April 21st 2001 Hello! Show was great! I even have some really good news ... I will have a page up about it soon. Pictures to Puzzles! I met a guy, the father of a daughter whose daughter I performed for today. Did that make sense? Anyway, he makes puzzles! I've seen his work...great quality and good prices, too! So, I thought it'd be cool to add that here to my site. You can have a puzzle of me performing, my T-Shirt logo as a gift or I can take photos at the party of your child with me and have a puzzle made...or a photo from the party that you took. April 20th 2001 Hey, it's Friday! Good news. I got called back for the "first" call back on Monday.
Yeah! So, we'll see what happens with the commercial. Anyway, I just got back a bit ago and about to hit a movie.
I just did a show at the Broad Neck Youth Center. It went well and everyone loved
the show. I'll write more about it later. I have a show tomorrow, also. When I get back from the movies, I'll tell
you what I thought. See ya for now...it's 9:40pm. It's April 21st now about 1:40am. I got back a little while ago. What movie did I see? I saw Josie and The Pussy Cats. It was a pretty funny satire. It entertained me. It was really geared for the younger crowds. But, hey, the kid is inside me, still! Have a show tomorrow. I'm lazy today...I have to finish a script also...Yikes! |

April 17th 2001 I did an audition today for Comcast Cable for a TV commercial. I can honestly say, I think that was the worst audition I have ever done. They were looking for street performers, but had no room for street performers to perform what they can do. Why have am audition for performers and have no room for them to perform and show their abilities? Duh! My dove I brought with me wasn't cooperating too well. I had one one minute to show what I'm capable of. So, I produced a dove, did some mime and street dance with a black and white mask. It was really bad and I felt rushed. I felt like I had to pee really bad and was rushing to get to the bathroom to go. But I had to go up 50 flights of stairs...you get the idea I'm sure. |

April 6th 2001 I'm gonna be performing with Red Hot and Rollin' on the 28th of April in NJ. Do you know I can dance on Roller Skates? Well, I can, more like street dance, but you should see these guys (and girls), they are great! Did any one watch the David Copperfield special on Tuesday the 3rd? Wasn't it great? Though, personally...the fire thing, I would of left that out...not really impressive...it didn't last long...and it took away from the show, I thought! April 2nd 2001 When will spring get here? The weekend was good. Shows went well, even performed some new tricks. I went to a magic lecture by Martin Lewis last Thursday at Barry's Magic Shop. It was great! I learned a lot. The man is a genius. Click HERE to see those photos from that lecture. I will be teaching again this year at a few different places. Again for Children's Theater of Annapolis. I will also be teaching a bunch (about 50) adult school teachers in May. I will have that up shortly. I will be working on my Mime video - The Magic and Mystery of Mime. Keep checking back for details. Also, I start my 12 week "Body" transformation to get into shape. March 22nd 2001 Spring has Sprung! This past weekend was great! Though I did learn one thing, NEVER uses someone else's equipment. My CD/Tape player died, and I went through hell trying to get it fixed...seems like it would cost the same as a new one. Anyway, I was doing a show with a borrowed tape/CD player and it ate my tape, skipped CDs...it was a nightmare. But they still loved the show! Naturally, my street-performing skills and improvisational skills help so that I don't panic. Ahhhhhhhhhh! I did one show this weekend that would have made anyone insane! The kids were really bad...okay not all...but, I'm glad I have been doing this for a long time and have the patients. Anyway, the show took about 45 min longer then it should have because of constant stopping and trying to get the kids organized. I'm going to write and article about this. Okay! Guest book is back. March 15th 2001 This weekend is gonna be busy! Tomorrow one show, 2 on Saturday and one on Sunday. I'm tired already. I hope to get a bunch of photos up... I know I keep saying it and I do put some up, but not as much as I'd like. So please keep checking back and I'm sure you'll be surprised totally! March 12th 2001 What a weekend! Shew! Thank you Jenn and Keith for your help. I did 4 shows. 1 on Friday and 3 on Saturday. Sunday? Slept! Though is was really nice out and I wanted to go out...I rested. Today, I have lots to do, but first I want to tell you about this weekend. All the shows went really well and I even sold lots of T-Shirts. Remember, they are cheaper if you get them from me than on the On-Line store. |

March 4th 2001 Wow! March already. It's Sunday and rainy-crappy-weather outside. I had a very long week this past week. I worked on a new Illusion with my wonderful assistant, Jenn Plaine. I took all week painting and prepping and everything until the wee hours of the morning. We practiced it twice, yes only twice and performed it fine. This weekend, Saturday, was a busy one. Three shows to perform. First, at the Baltimore Country Club...for a 6 year old. She wanted the best...and that was me. :o) Then two other shows, one for a small party for a 21 year old. His mom had a hard time convincing him that my show was for adults as well. Needless to say, they loved the show, freaked out on everything I performed. The last show was for a Mardi Gras Event for Northrop Grumman...and I walked around doing close up magic! Stayed two hours longer...but it was fun. I always seen to learn something when I perform. I met this one guy, middle aged, late forties, who was like,"So? That's not that hard..." and I did a few other things...finally getting his attention...than I figured, what the hell, I'll teach him something. So, I taught him a trick..a hard one of course, so he could get an idea, that what look so simple isn't. Let's just say he had a new found respect for magicians... |
