March 31st 2002 HAPPY EASTER! |
 |
March 27th 2002 Hey, it's Wednesday morning. It's that time of year again! Busy! Busy! Busy! I got a last
minute call yesterday from the Ways & Means Committee to entertain at their annual
delegate party at Phillips Restaurant in downtown
Annapolis. Awesome Food! It went well. I performed some close-up magic then did a small show with the curtain set
up. I ripped and restored a newspaper, floated a dollar bill, made it snow, floated a glass of soda while pouring
soda in the glass, produced a beautiful white dove and a few other amazing affects. I got to meet
Delegate Sheila Hixon-the Chairman of the Committee, Mark Shriver The Chairman of the Sub Committee on Children's
Youth, and a few other delegates. They were pretty cool group for a bunch of politicians. I'm glad they
were entertained by me. :o) Ohh! Special thanks to "Amy" for finding me in the yellow pages.
Well, it's at the end of the day, a very busy one. I got my printer back! Yeah! I went to the gym for the first
time in 3 weeks. Just did a little cardio and sit-ups. I feel good! My lings feel great! Okay, now in the next
few weeks check back as often as you can. lots's od new stuff! |

March 24th 2002 Tonight was Oscar night! Wow! Lord of the Rings didn't win as much as I thought they would.
Danzel Washington (Training Day) & Halle Barry (Monster's Ball) got best actor & actress. Jennifer Connelly
(A beautiful Mind) got best supporting actress. Jim Broadbent (Iris) got best supporting actor. Beautiful Mind
won best film & Best Adapted Screenplay! Ron Howard got best director. Gosford Park won for best Original Screenplay.
Shrek won best animated film. I was hoping Monster's Inc. would win. Click
here to find out all the details and the other winners. Did you know that one of my dreams is to write &
direct a film? Yes, movies have been a major passion since I was a kid. A great escape from the world when times
were rough. So, you never know, I may be changing careers one day! Well, it's late and I gotta hit the sack and
get my rest. Night! See you in the MOVIES! |

March 23rd 2002 I'm back! Sorry I haven't written much lately. Lots of good news and many things going on.
My knee is feeling better. I did a few shows in the past few weekends. An art auction that was okay. A few birthday
parties. Today was pretty nice out, chilly in the 50s. I got a last minute call for a show for a Community Easter
event. It was fun, lots of kids and parents. Then did another show in Arlington, VA. I got back a few hours ago.
I was going to see a movie, but, I think I should rest a bit.
Like I mentioned, it's hard to find an assistant that is reliable and loves to perform. Well, I'm not getting my
hopes up, but I auditioned a few this past week and found one that may work out. She's on spring break right now.
I have much to do and catch up on since I've been sick for several weeks. I'll write more tomorrow, I'm sure. Good
Night! |
 |
March 14th 2002 I'm sick! Under the weather! I feel like crap! :o( |
 |
March 11th 2002 It's Monday...catch-up from the weekend day. My knee was still out of whack, so I couldn't
do too much. Ohhh! Did I mention that my Printer died, also? I do all my High Quality prints and Certificates on
that printer. Thank God I have an old back up! A printer form '95-'96. A Canon BJC 610. One of the first Bubble
Jet Printer to come out. 720 X 720 dpi. Guess what? It still works. It's old but still print. It tool a bit to
get it back to working okay, but at least I can print up my Booking Forms and other basic stuff until I get my
regular printer fixed. See ya! I'm tired, and it's about 1:00 AM. |

March 10th 2002 What a weekend! Seven shows in 4 days, wow! Well, I have some really good news, and I have
some really bad news! Which should I do first? Good news or bad news? Yeah, let's get the bad news out of the way.
The bad news is, my knee is bugging me again, really, really bad. I can barely walk on it, and it really hard to
drive a stick shift and go up and down the steps. I almost didn't perform this weekend. There are many times in
which I have been to the point of not wanting to perform because of being sick, hives (major allergic reactions),
hurting myself and because of my knee. But, somehow, I still perform. So, I may get my knee scoped soon. Yikes!
New the good new, I spent lots of the money I made this past week! Yes, on my last show today, I found out about
an Office Max, office supply store closing. So, bum knee and all I zoomed over there and guess what I found. The
coolest digital camera, by Olympus. It's a CAMEDIA C-211 ZOOM Digital Printing Camera, that prints Polaroid pictures.
I got it for 50% off the regular price. It's pretty cool and has a hook up to my TV for viewing. So, I haven't
tested it out to see of the quality is great, but, I did do a test print and it's cool. Now, at the parts I can
make instant pics for the birthday child to have one with me right away! Cool! more info on that later! Well, I
have some other news...a possible, more full time assistant, who I briefly mentioned about on Saturday. So, if
you are curious to see her, click
here! That's all for now, wish me luck on my knee pain! Say a prayer! |
 |
March 9th 2002 Hello! It's now 2:18 AM and I just got back from my 4th show of the day. It was cool! A very
perfect ending to a perfect performing day! I did four shows today, and everything went well, the time that each
show started was pretty much on the spot.. I didn't feel cramped or rushed. A special thanks to Melanie J. for
helping me set up and performance of two shows. She is a possible new assistant and an inspiring actress as well.
Happy Birthday to....Well, I should have been back by at least 11:00 if I just performed and packed up. There are
a few families that have had me back several times. This family in particular has had me perform three times. So,
when I'm done, I hand out, chit chat and sometimes perform some more magic, like close-up. Well, I have a show
tomorrow at Noon, so I should be getting to bed so I can get enough sleep to perform properly! Good Night!. |
 |
March 8th 2002 Today was a cool show day! It's also TGIF day! The end of the week! I did a show at Gwynn
Park Middle School in Brandywine, Maryland. A pretty ripe age to please are middle school kids. I was getting
a bit of pressure to perform a good show because the last guy they hired really sucked, none of his "tricks"
worked, and on top of that he was a clown. Were they nuts to hire a clown for that age or what? Well, I got the
booking because I performed for one of the music teacher's daughers' birthday party recently. So, he told
the school about me, and they were looking for someone "fresh" and good! That's me! So, I perform
the show and pleased everyone, even had the school principle and vice principle help. The principle wasn't a good
sport on stage when I was doing the "Mouth Paper" routine. She though she was
losing credibility witht her students for being up there. Nah, if anything she'd gain, for being a good sport,
if she had stayed on stage. Personally, I just think she was embarrassed. I did the "Bra" trick on the
vice principle. Now, she was fun and laughed and had a great time. She was a very good sport! Yes, they
all loved the show! |

March 7th 2002 Well, this was a first! Today, I did a performance at a Jewish wedding. It was very interesting
and pretty traditional and the food was great. The guy that hired me had me dressed to look like I was, well, Jewish,
in a black Stenson hat, suit and tie with black pants and shoes. I performed the Metamorphosis with him. Basically
I was to look like some one pulled out of the audience. We didn't do it like I perform it with my beautiful assistance.
He made it into a story about the groom trapped in solitude until he meets his bride and together they become as
one and change together, hence, the Metamorphosis. It was fun, but, I got no credit for it, no one knew who I was,
and I won't be getting many booking from that, so now that I think about it, I got screwed! I should have charged
a lot more than I had. We, that was a first ... and a last! |

March 2nd 2002 Hello! Yes, it's a new month. Don't know what happened to the winter we're supposed to be
getting. It's raining out right now. Well, it's almost midnight and "GiGi" is playing fetch with a shoe
string next to my chair. I just got back a little while ago from my third show of the day. It was at an old St.
Johns church hall. It was a "Disco Spaghetti Dinner" fund raising event. The event was a fundraiser
to build newer playgrounds in some of the local Baltimore City Communities. I was quite surprised at the turn out.
There were several hundred people there. Again, my show started at 7 PM. I was only supposed to be there for 45
min. Right? Wrong. I left at about 10:45 PM. I had lots of fun walking around and entertaining people at the tables,
doing close-up. Yes, I did dance a little bit. Well, I think it was a good show, at least that's what I was told
by the people who hired me, and they were already talking about having me again next year! Yeah! Okay...I have
to get some sleep. Expect new things soon, as long as my computer doesn't have any Virus in it. Good Night! |
