Past What's New for October 2006 | | October 19th 2006 Today I did a show for H.H. Poole Middle School's after school read-a-thon. There were about eighty kids there and I tell you, it was the best little group of kids I had in a long time. The more they got into it, the more I did. It was only supposed to be a 30 min show. But, hey, I drove ninety minutes, so I was going to perform for a bit longer. They had a blast. Even the teachers (the few that were there) had a lot of fun. | | October 18th 2006 Wed! Well, today I got an email about a "reality" show about magicians...and they wanted me to come up to NY tomorrow. Bummer, sorry I'm booked. How weird, first "Wife Swap" then "America's Got Talent!" - What next??? | | October 15 2006 Okay, where do I begin? I have soooooo much to tell you. Well, this past weekend at the UPS Car Show was the big deal! It was pretty nice out weather wise, but really windy. Now, almost three times in once day I almost lost the Zig Zag Illusion. Let me explain. Okay, driving to the car show I had this weird thought, "What is the Zig-Zag slid off the top of the cab. I didn't picture it falling just sliding back. And then I had a feeling I should check. Well, when I got out and walked around to the back of the truck, I couldn't believe my eyes. The Zig-Zag box was hanging down the back almost to the bumper. Holy Crap! That was really close. Tanya and I got in back up and I tied it tightly again and we made it to the cars show with out any problems. Okay, then when starting to set everything up on stage, it was very windy. The Zig-Zag started to roll off the stage. Tanya and I caught it just as it tipped over the edge. Finally, after the show, I tied the Zig-Zag up very tightly, but, that did help. When we were almost home, again, I felt I should check, and it was almost to the street, barely hanging on. Shew!!! What a day! The show went well, and as usual we ran around and I took photos of Tanya posing in front of some of the cars. It was really funny, because she was the only "model" there and any guy who had a camera tried to photograph her. I got a few really good ones until it started getting really cold, then we stopped. | | October 14th 2006 UPS CAR SHOW! Hope to see you there! | | October 13th 2006 Ohhhhh! Friday the 13th! Hey, don't forget about the UPS Car Show tomorrow! | | October 10th 2006 Tuesday! Today was a bit slow at Chevys, and wet! | | | October 4th 2006 Wow! Some strange things have been going on. About a week ago I got an email from the TV reality show Wife Swap! They were telling me they wanted to do a twist and this time switch the wives of magicians. What? The pay was $20,000. I am thinking about it, just for two weeks? Then, this evening, someone from America's Got Talent said they were holding auditions in NY and they are tomorrow, Thursday! Well, Tanya isn't here, and they want me to come up with my "best" 90 seconds of material. Are you nuts? I have to plan that. What a bummer! I asked them why they contacted me the day before? Well, apparently, today was of the street, and tomorrow is for the professionals. Good to know, but a day in advance? C'mon! No I didn't go. I wanted to, but, I really like to plan stuff like this out. Maybe next time. | | October 1st 2006 Today was 1st Sunday! And the first block of West Street was closed off. It was a big hit. The lady who hired me said everyone up the block was taking about "box" trick. Wow! And I really didn't think that many people were watching. Sure we had a crowd, but I didn't think people were really paying attention with everything else that was going on. I did a few shows on the stage in the parking lot. Then had a little fun on my roller skates and skating around with my invisible dog. Anyway, I ended up staying most of the day. | | CLICK HERE TO VIEW PAST WHAT'S NEW PAGES |
