| Past What's New For August | |
 | August 30th 2003 Sat. I have a show today! Ting is in Boston visiting her sister for the holiday weekend. We were going to perform at the Inner Harbor but that is scrapped now. I'm getting all ready for the regular show I have and doing updates. I will have Septembers dates ready for the Baltimore Inner Harbor by Monday so check back. Lots of new photos will be up also. Have a great Holiday weekend! :o) |
| August 29th 2003 Friday! Labor Day Weekend! Well, I won't be camping because I have a few shows to do. But, Monday I may drive to the beach and get a little sun. It's morning time and I have to go eat some healthy pizza for breakfast. Yummy! |
| August 28th 2003 Thursday! Today was a lazy day. I supposed to perform at the Baltimore Inner Harbor, but it was just a bit to humid for me. So, I went swimming and saw a movie. The foreign film, "Swimming Pool" which was a bit different. Wed night at Ledo Pizza was great and busy. Quite a few people came in to see me from shows I've booked. Well, it's a bit late and I am tired, so, time to kick the bucket! Nite! |
| August 20 2003 I rode my bike to Quiet Waters Park this morning and my legs are feeling it.. I stopped down by the water where they let the dogs swim. I met this guy from China fishing there, his name was Peter, and the time I chatted with him ( only a few minutes ) he caught three good size fish using soft-shell crab. Tonight at Ledo Pizza was great! There is always a table that has someone or a few people who feel the magic I perform won't amaze them enough. Well, there was one guy who was quite rude. His friend even warned me about him that he was rude. I said, "It's okay, I'm used to performing for rude people, they're handicapped." I love a good challenge. So, I performed for them a few affects, and they liked them! |
| August 19th 2003 Tuesday evening! It's late, I just got back from The Baltimore Inner Harbor and the shows were great. We did two and both audiences were really good. Big tips, good laughs and everyone loved the shows. I bought a halogen light (the kind they use for construction at night and we performed at night when it was dark. We go a great response from the crowd and people came up expressing what they loved about the show. It was great! |
| August 18th 2003 Monday! The weekend went by pretty quickly! I do have a lot to tell you about my show at a nudist camp. It was very different to say the least. I also performed at a family reunion for an old friend of mine, Jeffrey, who used to be my roommate when I first moved to Annapolis. It was my first real apartment when I was living in Annapolis. I lived here before I went College, but that was a large room in a very large house in downtown Annapolis. It was cool for my first place to live in all by myself. I could walk downtown and walk home. It had it's advantages and disadvantages for being just a room. I didn't have a kitchen, or bathroom, so I have to use the bathroom in the hallway ( along with everyone else). My kitchen was a really small refrigerator and a few hotplates to cook my food in. I made good use of it since I loved to cook. I loved camping, and it was kind of like camping indoors. I had a boom box for music, and a black & white TV where the vertical hold wasn't working to well, or when it was working on one or two channels I could hardly see the picture and had to just rely on the sound, like TV-radio! It was an experience living there, I will tell you that. The building was old, so was the wood and I'm sure the roaches were too. They were really big roaches, and some were bout two inches. Like you see in the movies. Scary! NUDE MAGIC Ready to hear about the Nudist Camp Ting an I performed at? Well, you will have to check back for the whole story on the show at the Nudist Camp, Pine Tree. But I will tell you a little bit about it first. It was different. My rule of thumb is, I can perform for anyone from 3 to 99 and any nationality, race or creed. What I didn't think of was performing for "Nude" people. A totally naked audience? What a concept! The only thing I was worried about was if I had to be naked also. No! I need my pockets to perform! Good excuse though. I had never imagined in my lifetime that I would perform a magic show at a nudist camp. But, I did! Wow! That was history in the making for me. Ting and I were like two teenagers laughing about it as we approched the camp. I know some people may get offended by seeing someone nude or naked. I guess they aren't comfortable with themselves. Go to any gym, and in the locker rooms people walk around naked like it's nothing. Me, I'm not to keen on being naked around a bunch of guys. But women? Of course, that is more natural. But, the fact is, that was how we are born and roamed the earth thousands of years ago. Then we became vain and started to cover things up. There are many people which are comfortable with their bodies and aren't ashamed of how they look. Well, the show went great! It was fun and dfferent. It was a bit strange with my whole audience, adults, teens and kids, being naked. I actually met a few really nice people there. I will have a full story for those of you that may want to read it. It was a rather fun experience. Check back! |
| August 16th 2003 Happy Birthday to my good friend, Diane, in Texas. Today is going to be hot and busy! I have two shows. The first one for the "Nude Club" Pine Tree. That's going to be a strange show for me. You will hear all about it later. Second show is for a large family reunion. I'm up early not so I can go to the gym and do a few other things before the show! See you soon. |
| August 15th 2003 It's late! Sorry I haven't written for a while. A week! Shew! Sorry! Please forgive me and I promise to write more often from now on. Okay? This wee was a busy one. The Shows at the Crown Movie Theater are over now and no more "free" movies either. I really loved doing that, but it was so stressful getting up so early to perform. People have no clue. One plus was in the last few weeks I added my headset. Before I was killing my voice. The shows went well both days and Ting helped out also. Yes, she is still in school and staying with me. We did a really good "mini" show and finished it up with the Metamorphosis. Wed night at Ledo Pizza was packed and many people came in from the Movies Theaters. We were supposed to perform yesterday, but it was way tooooooooooo hot outside. Tomorrow, or today, depending on how you look at it. I'm going to perform at a "Nudist" club. It local to Maryland and in Crownsville, it's called Pine Tree Associates if you'd like to join. It is going to be a strange experience for me. No I have performed (practiced) in the nude at home, but I have never performed for a nude audience. This will be something to talk about. Wish me luck! I'm tired and have to hit the bed. | August 9th 2003 Today's shows went well, a bit rainy but I was undercover for both shows! They were loads of fun. |
| August 7th 2003 Only one more week left for the Children's Film Festival! Today went really well. Next week I'm going to perform the Metamorphosis, so if you haven't seen it yet, this is your last chance. Unless, you come to see me at the Baltimore Inner Harbor and other public shows. | August 6th 2003 My Bad! So sorry for not writing and posting! What a day today! I performed at The Movie Theater, then performed in Northern Maryland to perform at Sunrise Camp for some cancer recovery patients, then performed at Ledo Pizza. I'm beat! It's actually Thursday right now! Tonight I felt like I was sleep walking I was so tired. The shows went well, the second one was a "freebie" for a performer friend of mine. Normally I wouldn't do it, but, like an idiot, I said yes. Why don't I do "free" show? Duh! I don't get paid! If I don't get paid, I don't eat, my cats and birds starve. So, don't ask if I can do a benefit show for your charitable organization, and tell me I'll get exposure. It doesn't work that way. Sneaky! No, if it's for a good cause then I may. Also, if you notice any spelling errrrrors, please let me know. Not just here but anywhere on my site. Gotta hit the bed. Good night! |
| August 1st 2003 It almost back to school! Wow! Well, today was a busy one. No performing, but a lot of cleaning up at my place. This evening I took Ting to The 58th Annapolis Rotary Club Crab Feast held at the Navy - Marine Corp. Memorial Stadium. It was a feast! It also was raining on and off and very wet, but people still came out to eat their crabs. I did take a few photos and may add some to the "Web Shots" section. It's late and I need to sleep. Gotta show tomorrow! Good Night! |
