Past What's New For The Month Of July 2001
 |
July 27th 2001 Hello there! It's late, and I thought I'd better write something before it gets too late.
I saw Planet of the Apes tonight. Wild! It was different compared to the original version. But Tim Birton
has a different style to his movies. It was pretty cool. I did a show in Virginia today. It was fun, the kids and
the adults loved the show. I have soooooo many photos that I am trying so hard to get up here. I have been really
busy with performing, summer camps, teaching and web design, that I haven't been able to do the updates I'd like.
but, maybe this weekend, who knows. Did I tell you, I have another "new" assistant that has been helping
me in some shows? She's cute, beautiful, sexy and loves to perform...ohhh and di I say beautiful...? Wow, and her
name is Cindy. You can come see her perform with me August 8th & 9th at 8:30AM at the Annapolis
Crown Theaters, in the Annapolis Mall! That's the final date of the free movies. I'm
sure I'll be writing more this weekend...check back! :o) |

July 21st 2001 First note!!!! To my special "Brasil M" friend, who's mother is going into surgery
to have a tumor removed? Write me! Call me! It's important to keep in touch with friends! :o) I'll be saying a
prayer for you!
Okay, it's Really late~or early, depending how you look at it. I have a NEW PAGE up, YOU can now
send friends and family E-CARDS, there are over 7,000 to choose from. CLICK HERE to check it out. Tell me what you think. I saw the new movie, Jurassic
Park tonight. It was okay. I think the mystery is beginning to wear off now.
Good news? The Karate-Combo-Magic-Camp was a big success. On the last day I was going to do a raffle for a magic kit, then thought,
I wanted each student to have something...so I designed a certificate and printed them up on special canvas paper
late last night. I even had a few kids below the normal age I's teach magic, and they learned something. So, look
out world, there are going to be a few more new young magicians. Remember, every week in August there will be another
Karate-Combo-Magic-Camp,
except for the third week in August, from the 20th through the 24th there will be
the Jack Julius Magic Camp, which is a bit different than the Combo Camps. It's learning just Magic!
I have a few shows this weekend and I'm going to try my hardest to get some new photos up here from the Camps,
Crown Movie Theaters & Kids who's parents recently bought shirts at parties I performed at. Did that make sense?
And some other things. Check out my On-Line
Store! I have some new items. Okay, I'm going back to sleep now! |

July 18th 2001 What a rainy day! I did my show at the theater, which went well, then taught some magic...then
ran errands and did a few other things. I saved a turtle ( a baby one ) today. I was driving down the road, more
like a country type of road. Two lanes and lots of trees... and anyway, I was driving and I saw this little lump
in the road and as I got closer...I thought, a turtle! I almost ran over it. I did miss it though, and then backed
up, put my flashers on, grabbed the little turtle and put him into the woods on the other side. Yes, it was pouring
still. Sorry for getting off the Magic subject, but I just wanted you to know I did my good deed today! Well, I
have many things to do and get ready for tomorrow! I hope to have a few hundred photos up soon, so keep checking
back! Good Night! |

July 17th 2001 Late~ Well, I have been a busy body, that's for sure! Sorry
I haven't written anything in the past few weeks. I have been performing a lot. and all this week is the
Karate-Combo-Magic-Camp at East Coast Martial Arts School in Annapolis. Today I taught some magic, then
took off to VA. to perform a birthday party. It was great...the kids had fun. I even stayed a bit and helped him
with a magic kit he got. I HAVE GREAT NEWS & I HAVE BAD NEWS! First the bad
new...I won't be performing at Chevys anymore, at least not for now. They have changed managers and even though
I was bringing in business and people were coming to see me, he decided not to have me any longer. He said it was
too expensive. What? I'm bringing in business, working more hours past the time I should...calm down Jack! Okay...You
all go and complain for me. The guy really had a sour attitude, and, well it's his loss. But, keep you eyes peeled,
I may be back there, and if not there...somewhere where you can come see me perform again. NOW THE GOOD NEWS!
I got the Baltimore Inner Harbor! I have been wanted to perform down there for several years now. When I went to
college, I street performed there. It was much easier than now. I'd just wear a little red button. Now, there is
a lot of red tape. If you have been there, you know they have any area for street performers. Well, there is a
new marketing director! She was very pleased with my web site and wanted me to perform. So, currently I am putting
dates together. I didn't even have to do an audition. Yeah! But, please check back soon, I will have them up ASAP!
Got to go to bed now! I'm performing at the Annapolis Mall Crown Theaters at 8:30
am. Then Teaching at 9:30...So I need my magic and beauty sleep! |

July 4th 2001 HAPPY 4th of JULY It really wasn't to great to begin with. It rained all day and got everything pretty soaked. I was
really looking forward to performing and skating through the parade. But it was really pouring. I even put on my
white mime-face, that I rarely wear. I had red, white and blue pants and my Jack Julius T-Shirt. I was going to
wear tails with it. It just started to clear up a few minutes ago. I was still thinking about going down anyway.
Should I? Hummmm! I'm still thinking about all the wetness and possible showers that may occur later. I did take
some photos of me and my cat, Houdini. Yes, I still have the white face on as I'm typing this. Today's show at
the Movie Theater went really well. After I was done, I entertained the employees with a bunch of close-up magic.
Then I went to Red Robins ( a new burger joint) to eat, and some of the kids that saw me at the show were there.
It's so cool when they remember my name and say it over and over, like they actually know me. One little girl colored
a menu for me and gave it to me, saying, "I made this for you, Jack Julius!" It was really nice. Yes,
I did also perform some magic for some of the staff at Red Robins. Well, I have to go and decide if I'm going to
still go Down Town or not. See YA! |
