The Vision Quest
Portrait of the Artist as
a young man.
Any time someone operating a commercial website editorializes on the site there is a certain risk. The site owner might offend potential customers. Customers who might otherwise have made purchases will go elsewhere knowing the owner's "opinions" on certain topics. At Human Imagineering I am willing to take that risk for one very specific reason. Creation is the opportunity that each human being has to partake of the divine image in which we were created.
When we create we accept a gift with which God has blessed us in our own making, and it behooves us to acknowledge His authority in our exercise of that gift. The lasting heritage of any personal creation will be in direct proportion to its clear relation to the principles of God's creation of our universe and our place in it. Simply put, an adherence to Love as The Priciple Moving Force (The Holy Spirit) in all Creation and Jesus Christ, (Ho Logos - The Word) as The Organizing Principle of all Creation.
Does this mean that non-Christians are not welcome at Human Imagineering? Far from it. We invite, we urge, we extol all free moral agents to partake of the divine life to be found in true Creativity. We here at Human Imagineering do not judge the lasting value of any effort to advance individual creativity. That is God's job. We simply believe that we should and will thank God for the gift of creativity to us through Christ. Does this mean then that any creative expression is welcome at Human Imagineering? Absolutely not.
We firmly believe that there are objective standards of Truth, Right and Justice and we will not accept that our conscience requires, or reasonable tolerance of ideas and culture require that we accept attacks upon what we believe to be True, Right and Just. We intend to practice this principle by the two commands by which Christ himself stated that the universe was organized..." you should love the Lord your God with all your heart, and all your soul and all your strength, and, you should love your neighbor as yourself..."
By this same token we expect that our readers, clients, customers and viewers will and can expect from us a high standard of Truth, Righteousness and Justice. The products that we offer will be products we have either used ourselves or we have reviewed and, though we do not have a use for them ourselves, we can see value in them for others.
Some of the products we offer will be tangible, solid, substantial assets whose value can be reliably determined by simple marketplace mechanisms. Others will be informational, based in wise examination, thoughtful consideration, and organization, and may be more intangible and less amenable to setting values that are concrete and easily determined.
For that reason we will always offer our customers the opportunity to return or refuse purchased goods within 30 days of their purchase for a full refund of the cost of the item in question. This is a satisfaction guarantee and does not in any way make a statement about the value of the item in question except to say that it did not prove to have the value to the purchaser that had been anticipated. This guarantee applies to intangible, informational products. Tangible products may be returned, in undamaged condition, for a store credit either against current inventory, or against future products. Damaged goods will not be refunded unless they were shipped insured against damage in transit and were determined and noted to be in an undamaged state at the time they were shipped.
This is the best guarantee we can offer.
Finally, this editorial will not be the only one published. It will be my practice to occassionally update these policies, or simply express my opinions on subjects of note to me or the community at large. Readers, clients, customers and viewers are free and welcome to express their opinions in e-mails to the Human Imagineering Editor and some of these will be published upon occassion.
As this web site grows, the clear vision I have for it is an eclectic mix of creative product mall, electronic creativity magazine, and all around fun place to visit, shop, chat, and hone the creative edge of the minds of all who come here. THIS IS THE VISION QUEST OF HUMAN IMAGINEERING
