This is a 30ct Fire Agate Bead wrapped in 14kt Gold Filled Wire and mounted on a 14kt Gold Chain. The shape of the stone and wrapping combine to give the impression of a pair of wings mounted over layered hearts, thus the name
This pendant necklace is a piece of quartz wire wrapped with 18 Karat Gold Filled Wire attached through jump rings to a 16" 24 karat Gold Plated chain. The stone, picked up off the side of the trail on a walk to Frazier Falls near Graeagle, CA. The broken color patterns suggested a stone that could be shaped into something beautiful. The metaphor is obvious. We are all pieces of gravel in the universe until our creator picks us up, shapes and polishes us until something, though perhaps not perfect, but colorful and beautiful emerges.
Understated and Elegant The Ruby Heart of Madagascar - Designed and Exectuted by Thomas B. Wallace is a 50ct Ruby cut from a raw, untreated 118ct ruby that came from Madagascar. The raw stone roughly resembled a human heart and the cabochon cut was chosen to emphasize that metaphor. The stone was wire wrapped using 14kt gold filled wire and set as a pendant on a 16" 14kt gold chain. No stone treatment, other than cutting, was used in the manufacture of this piece.
Elemental - This piece, designed and executed by Karen E. Grahame contains representations of the four elements (fire, water, earth and air) in its materials and the bold colors and intertwining strands give it both visual impact and generous meaning. This piece draws the eye like a magnet.
