Boomer on the Ground:
Fourth in a Series of Dispatches from the Colonies: NASA Chooses Coverup rather than Expose'

NASA has finally admited that there is evidence, not just of water, but that the area around the Opportunity rover was "soaked in water". They have also acknowledged the existance - and disappearance - of the "white rabbit" object near the Opportunity rover's landing site. I quote the following from the Baton Rouge, Louisiana newspaper The Advocate of March 8, 2004 Page 9A -
"LITTLE WHITE BUNNIES ON RED PLANET?
By Knight Ridder Newspaper
Philadelphia - Forget about ancient traces of water on Mars. There's a little white bunny up there.
While NASA scientists pore over the latest Red Planet images for shreds of evidence that it might have supported algae or pond scum, thousands of earnest civilians are scanning the same pictures and pointing out all sorts of things the professionals missed or haven't acknowledged.
Ever since the robot rovers Spirit and Opportunity landed on Mars in January, NASA has been flooded with hundreds of daily calls and e-mails from people eager to share their own dramatic discoveries.
Especially the bunny.
A white rabbitlike image appeared in some of the first pictures beamed back from Opportunity, caught in three-quarter profile, long ears erect.
'Some Web sites have detailed spatial analysis on the bunny,' said project scientist Phil Christensen of Arizona State University.
Christensen says he saw the bunny in the early shots beamed back from Opportunity.
He said he lobbied to have the rover take a closer look, but the bunny disappeared.
NASA scientists believe the 'bunny' was probably a piece of the landing air bag or some other bit of human-generated trash, Christensen said.
But on one Web site, an outraged writer accused Nasa of intentionally running over the bunny with the rover.
There are many other 'discoveries': stone tools, dinosaur fossils, plants, art, even letters of the alphabet.
Medford, N.J. resident George Filer says he has spotted letters similar to E and G written on martian rocks. Filer and his associates at MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) believe these are the creations of intelligent beings. He's been trying to tell NASA, without success.
'They keep a lot from the public,' said Filer, a retired Air force pilot"
The following photos are what this story refers to:

The "white rabbit" object

This photo was taken from a section of the original NASA JPL image #PIA05199 and clearly shows that the "white rabbit" object looks nothing like a tool, or part of an "air bag" or any other part that might have fallen off of the lander. Not to mention that there is no indication from the sand around this object that it "landed there" any time in the recent past as there is no indication of disturbance in the sand. In order to accurately position this object, relative to the stones above it I used a simple triangulation technique. I drew a horizontal line from the outside diagonal corner of the pillow shaped stone through the pale patch on the outside to the right. From there I drew a vertical line to the tip of the right "ear" of the "white rabbit" object. From there I drew a hypotenues to the right angle from the outside corner of the pillow shaped stone to the same spot on the right "ear" of the "white rabbit" object. In order to confirm the proportions and establish the accuracy of the triangulation I drew a line from the middle of the horizontal base to the same spot on the right "ear" of the "white rabbit' object. If my measurements were even close to accurate that final line should appear to bisect the acute angles formed from the hypoteneus and the leg of the right angle. As the reader can see it appears to do so fairly accurately. The reason for this triangulation will be clear in a moment.

This photo was taken from a section of the original NASA JPL image #PIA05311 and is clearly not as high resolution as the other and in slightly different proportions. That is why I used exactly the same triangulation technique to establish the point on this photo that the "white rabbit" object would be visible. The only difference is that since there was no "right rabbit ear" reference in this photo I drew the lines so that they passed completely through the area of track marks into an area of clearly undisturbed sand. By simple principle of geometry the area where all three lines cross should be where the "white rabbit object" should be.
What is there instead is a series of rover track impressions in the sand that show that the rover was deliberately turned from its forward movement away from its lander pad and turned around on top of the "white rabbit" object. In short it appears that the rover Opportunity was used to deliberately destroy what appeared to be an alien artifact of some interest. Why on earth, or Mars would NASA do such a thing?
Well, aside from ignorance, or an attempt to destroy evidence of its own willingness to cover up what it is finding on the Red Planet it is difficult to determine. Before we go on to several images that are alluded to in the Knight Ridder story that deserve their corresponding photographic evidence there is one more in this series of wonton destruction of potentially important artifacts that the reader deserves to see so there can be no question this was done deliberately.

This image was taken from a section of the original NASA JPL image #PIA05312 and clearly shows the lander tracks leading away from the lander platform and headed in the direction of the rocks at the top, the long one on the right being one of our reference rocks in the earlier analysis.
It is evident that the rover is sent into a deliberte left turn that goes full circle and exits at an angle to the left and then is backed up again before continuing on to the rocks above. Once there it is apparently backed up in its own tracks again into the area where the original brodie was turned and sent into another brodie that exits directly left. So, it is clear that the destruction of this "white rabbit" object was undertaken deliberately although to what end it is hard to say. The original pictures clearly show it was there, and that it does not appear to be any type of piece of the lander. If it were, then surely NASA could produce a piece from their prototypes that would look like it, could they not?
Now let us move on to those other images the Knight Ridder story mentions but does not provide visual record of:
"...There are many other 'discoveries': stone tools, dinosaur fossils, plants, art, even letters of the alphabet."

Are these stone tools of some kind? It is very difficult to imagine the natural processes that would place a roughly rectangular "pillow shaped object" right next to a roughly oval "stacked" appearing object right next to a "pod" shaped object. All in a row. This image was taken from the original NASA JPL image #PIA05199

Are these fluted, carved stones laid into a floor? Again and image taken for #PIA05199

This object, to any competent anatomist would appear to be the skull of an animal, either feline, or canine in appearance. It seems to be lying next - 45 degrees down to the right - to what appears to be the top of a pottery urn that was broken off just below the neck.

This appears to be the skull of some kind of beaked animal, possibly avian. Note the crest that runs along the midline forehead to rear above the eyesockets and prominent beak.

This photo section contains three interesting objects: 1. In the lower right, just above the stone that has what appears to be a diagonal cut right-to-left/top-to-bottom, there appears to be an upside down skull lying in the sand. Note the bisecting ridge along the hard palate and the u-shaped nasopharynx area in the rear as well as the elongated snout. It appears either beaked, or canine/feline, but there does not appear to be any teeth, which would mitigate towards an avian skull. 2. Up and to the left there appears a circular object lying in the sand with five visible rays of some kind coming out from a central hub at equidistant spacing. There is a central hole visible also. This kind of equidistant spacing and circular regularity from outside in might be characteristic of some circular exoskeletons, such as a crab, or of some kind of circular impeller blade, or perhaps a bearing race. 3. The top of a broken pottery urn from the original skull picture is visible in the upper left corner. All three of the preceding images were taken from the original NASA JPL image #PIA05314.
The following images are truly intriguing as they seem to evidence clearly worked stone objects, certainly worthy of the best of freemasons in our history:

This appears to be a symbol, reminiscent of a greek Alpha symbol lying on its side, cut into one of the stones from the NASA JPL Image #PIA05099. Note the smooth and almost exact proportions from one leg of the symbol to the other. Also note the inward pointing foot at the end of each leg.

This appears to be a carving of the lower anterior face of some beaked animal, perhaps a bird. Note the smooth curving over the tip of the beack and the nostril at the tip. Note also the smooth curved gouge delineating the lower from the upper half of the face. Note finally the overall marblelike appearance of the smoothed stone.

This appears to be a more hominid appearing anterior facial carving fragment from the nose down. Once again the reader should note the smoothing of the stone overall as well as in the vacinity of the cuts and shaping. That kind of regularization occurs only rarely as the result of a natural process. Also the reflectivity of some of the surfaces as well as what appears to be a different color on the interior sections of the stone as exhibited by the jagged white area on the top is characteristic of fired clays with some kind of mineral glaze, in this case the bluish color would mitigate towards either cupric oxide or cobalt.

This object appears so much like a carved stone sconce of some kind that it is almost impossible not to believe that is what it is. Note that is has four flat surfaces, bottom/angled back diagonal/back vertical/top horizontal, that end at the top right where there is a distinct hook that descends diagonally back to the bottom.
The front diagonal appears to have been rounded and carved and there are two semi-circular carved rifts on the side, the one towards the rear follows the lines of the outline of the sconce itself and the one towards the front connects the carved area in the bottom half of the front section to the bottom of the hook at the top. Again, this appears to have been made from a material that was either artificially or naturally fired at some point to give it a glazed appearance with a light interior.

This looks like it could be a carved alter stone of some kind. There are what appear to be three channels, one in the center from left to right, and two diagonal cuts from top to center and bottom to center all appearing to empty into a central channel that slopes down to the right side of the stone.
It was not unusual in our own history for alter stones upon which living sacrafices were made to have such drainage channels cut in their surfaces in order to drain the blood of the sacrafice away from the stone. Of course it could have filled any number of other functions, but the point here is that it appears to have the characteristics of carved and once again, fired stone. Again, the symmetry and bilateralism and the overall regularity add to the impression that it was deliberately carved.
It appears from the mounting evidence that the simple quantity of it may provide its own motivation for the NASA coverup. The evidence now is reaching avalanche proportions and the fact is any competent scientist is going to think twice about speculating on what cannot be directly examined. True, the photographic evidence is compelling and it is possible to make intelligent and thoughful speculations on what that means. However, scientifically it is impossible to draw firm conclusions about any of this without being willing to make the journey to Mars to confirm and further research these destroyed civilizations that we seem to have uncovered.
We will, of course, continue to follow this story and to uncover the discoveries that go along with it. However, bandwidth considerations mitigate against providing every photographic analysis we have made. Bandwidth is expensive and photos take lots of bandwidth. We do however, have an exhaustive library of the images we have downloaded and analyzed to which the reader is invited to subscribe. We will continue to add images and analysis to this library and subscribers will have access for as long as their subscription lasts.
Simply go to The Ghosts of Mars and the link will take you to a subscription form where the reader may access and download any of the images we have in our library. Meanwhile, keep checking back for further stories on the Mars Rovers Investigation...
