Do You Know . . .

The Ugly Truth About Ticks?

The life cycle of a tick includes 4 stages: egg, seed tick, nymph, and adult. Ticks feed on your pet, mate, grow, then leave the pet to lay 1,000-5,000 eggs in the baseboards, grass, and wooded areas. These eggs hatch into young seed ticks, who search for a "host animal." After 3-6 days of feeding, the seed ticks fall off, molt for up to 2 weeks and become nymphs. Nymphs attach themselves to pets. They feed, falls off, molt, then emerge as new reproducing adult ticks ready to begin the whole cycle over again. (Source: Jeffers Pet Catalog, Spring 99) HINOKI PET SPRAY wards off ticks and can help to stop the life cycle of ticks.

Some crates are stackable, some are insulated, some are folding, some are rust & corrosion resistant, and some even have double holders (to hold two animals, separated by a divider).

What To Do About Separation Anxiety?

Some experts suggest toys to ease separation anxiety and reduce destructive chewing. But all toys are not created equal. Care should be taken to provide toys that your pet cannot choke on by swallowing whole or chewing apart then swallowing.
