The unit is shipped already assembled and fitted to the tub.  It plugs into a standard 110 volt outlet or can be hardwired. Dimensions of the assembled unit measure 24" x (the width of the tub) x 24".   The filter/pump/heater is usually attached directly into one end of the tub with PVC pipe, but attachment configurations are adaptable.  A hinoki tub can be kept outdoors, however, because the unit is electric, it should be placed in a dry location. 

The top of the filter tower screws off, so the cartridge can be lifted out for replacement.  A cartridge is 13" tall.  When placing your order, please let us know about the placement of the unit in relation to the tub, so it can be assembled to fit your space.

THERMOSTAT - HEATER

The thermostat regulates the water in the tub.

A covered 100 gallon tub has a heat rise of approximately 10.5 degrees per hour.  The actual heat rise may vary considerably depending on the size of the tub as well as air and water temperatures.  Heat rise will be slower without a cover.  It is recommended that the tub be kept covered when not in use and that an accurate thermometer be used to monitor water temperature.

PROGRAM MODE

A program mode switch allows selection of the following:

   Program Mode #1 -- The timer activates a jet pump.  The water is filtered while the pump is running.  Water is heated according to the thermostat setting only while the timer is on.  When the timer is off, heating and filtration do not occur.

   Program Mode #2 -- Operation is the same as Program Mode #1 except that while the timer is off, the thermostat will maintain water temperature by automatically cycling the pump and heater as needed for continuous temperature maintenance.

TIMER

A seven day, 24-hour timing system provides the most efficient and reliable method to filter and heat the water by activating a jet pump during user-selectable time periods.

JET PUMP

A single speed pump provides hydrotherapy jet action.

IN-LINE CARTRIDGE FILTERS

These filters have a built-in activated bypass which allows 100% filtration of the tub water.  Filter cartridges are removable for cleaning and replacement and are available at local hardware stores.  It is recommended that cartridges be cleaned every three to six weeks, or as needed, and replaced when necessary.
