Is Hinoki Repellent safe for use on children?
Yes. Unlike many commercial brands which expressly warn against using them on children, Hinoki Insect Repellent is safe to use on children. Even children with chemical sensitivies and allergies do not generally experience problems with Hinoki Repellent.
We do not recommend using it on babies.

Do Hinoki products contain chemicals?
No! Hinoki products contain only natural ingredients. OHP, Inc. is proud that the essential oil used in our products meets the standards of the Oregon Tilth Association as all natural, so they are safer for children than most commercial brands.

Do your products contain DEET?
Absolutely not! Hinoki products do NOT contain DEET (a known carcinogen), SILICONE, or other harmful chemcials like many other commercial brands on the market.
Hinoki products are also alcohol-free.

No. Research has shown that, while citronella effectively repels insects, it attracts female black bears and their cubs.
