Mini-Trip Around The World (Top Picture)

This quilt is made from 1 1/2" squares and is a very easy kit to sew since the whole top may be sewn in strips. The strips are then sewn together to form the finished top. The inner border is the darker solid and the outer border is a coordinating calico. Kits are complete and include pre-cut top pieces, batting, backing, needle, thread and instructions.

Mini-Multicolor Patchwork (Bottom Picture)

We cut colorful patches (1 1/2" sq.) in all colors (30 different in all) so you can have a "Scrap Basket" effect quilt. The inner border is a darker solid and the outer border is a lighter calico. Kits are complete and include pre-cut top pieces, batting, backing, needle, thread and instructions.

This design looks similar to its "big brother", Cathedral Windows but is in Amish colors and is MUCH easier to sew!!! The colored "panes" are 4 1/2" squares in a variety of Amish solid colors set on point, and the strips between the panes are Amish black solid.

There is none of the tedious folding of pleats or the hand sewing that is required with the Cathedral Windows kit, and you still get a stunning quilt! (This is a real quilt that includes the batting and backing normally missing from the Cathedral Windows.)

There's an heirloom in the making when you order this quilt kit! As you can see, the lovely "Baby Wreath" quilt is very charming in pastel shades and especially so with truly outstanding hand quilting as in this sample. This pattern is very similar to the "Dresden Plate" but scaled down to "baby" size. The 6" diameter wreaths are appliqued to 7 1/2" squares of unbleached muslin, alternating with blank muslin squares for creative quilting (the feather circle quilting pattern is included with the instructions.)

Butterfly Applique' Kits

We cut these one piece butterflies out of a variety of colors of beautiful calico prints, then supply solid color pre-cut sashing, or borders around each muslin square. You applique' them down, then add the embroidered details. A very attractive way to quilt this design is to "ripple" quilt it. This method of quilting repeats the outline of the butterfly out to the edge of the muslin with 1/2" between the quilting lines. These kits are available with Multi-colored calico butterflies in either Bright or Pastel shades with Borders in one of the colors listed below.

We found this design in a 1930's collection of quilt designs which were featured in newspaters at the time. Named the "Canadian Star" to honor our good neighbors to the north, this is a design similar to our boquet design but on a smaller, much more delicate scale. Each of the "star points" is made up of two calico prints, with a solid used in the center and in the window pane borders.

We offer this classic pattern in multicolored calico (30 different calicos), as shown, surrounded by perma-pressed, natural unbleached muslin. This kit may be almost completely sewn by machine or by hand if you like. We're offering the most popular sizes and a 16" pillow to get you started. This design looks similar to its "big brother", Cathedral Windows but is MUCH easier to sew!!! The colored "panes" are 4 1/2" calico squares, and you now can choose either Multi-colored Calicos (over 30 different multi-colored calicos in a full range of colors) or Single Hue Calicos (6-8 different calicos in the same color range, like all blues or all greens, etc.) The calico squares are set on point and surrounded by natural muslin sashing strips. For $10.00 additional, you can also substitute a solid color for the muslin sashings in the top.

There is none of the tedious folding of pleats or the hand sewing that is required with the Cathedral Windows kit, and you still get a stunning quilt! (This is a real quilt that includes the batting and backing normally missing from the Cathedral Windows.)

Both applique' pieces are quite large so this is an easier quilt to sew - even though there is applique'work on each of the 8" squares. These squares are bordered with double lattice strips (pink and blue solid) which make this a distinctive looking quilt. We've included this kit because it is such a popular child's quilt and is a classic one as well. Our design is nearly all patchwowrk, since you only need to applique' the chimneys down. This makes our version much easier to sew than most schoolhouse quilts. We combine a red calico schoolhouse with a dark roof, then surround it all with coordinating solid red border strips. All precision die-cut so you can enjoy the sewing and the quilting. This attractive design is made up of easy-to-sew triangles in a solid and calico, plus unbleached muslin in the background. The "window pane" sashing frames the 12" square block, using the same solid and calico. This is a soothing and striking design that you'll love!

We cut this classic pattern in the old fashiioned way. The pieces finish up 1" wide, and the basic block is 8" square. We coordinate a solid and two calico prints for the dark side and use natural unbleached muslin on the light side. Like all Log Cabin designs, the basic blocks can be arranged in a number of ways to create a variety of secondary patterns. The infant quilt pictured is sewn in the "barn raising" pattern.
