Multicolor Calico Endpieces

Multicolor 100% Cotton Calico Endpieces

We now have more calico endpieces available. Everytime we cut out multicolor calico shapes (such as for the "Windows of Heaven" and "Busy Bees" quilts), we have endpieces from the layout that are left over. These 100% Cotton pieces often contain the selvage edges of the fabrics in the layout plus an inch or two of usable fabric across the width. The strips and pieces vary in length, but many are around 22" long. They are great for crazy quilts, log cabin quilts, minature quilts and many fabric crafts. As long as our supply lasts, we will sell 3 Pounds of these endpieces for the bargain price of $17.85 or 6 Pounds for $35.70 (that's $5.95/lb) (Note: there are about 4 yds of material in one pound of fabric, and there is a 3 Lb minimum order.) This charming Christmas Sampler will bring the holiday spirit wherever it is used!! There are four different blocks in this design: a Christmas tree, a poinsettia, a candle and a star. We cut these kits from Christmas Colors: Green (calico & solid), holiday Red solid and Yellow solid fabrics plus natural muslin or from shades of BLUE (Calico & Solids) and natural muslin. The larger size quilts have trees in every row, and the trees are alternated with one of the other 3 designs across each row. (For example, in the first row of the 92x106" size, the trees alternate with poinsettias across the whole row. The second row has candles alternating with trees, and the third row has trees alternating with stars. The fourth row begins again with alternating trees and pointsettias and so on down the quilt.)

Log Cabin 2

Log Cabin 2 Top Kits

We cut this classic pattern in the old fashioned way. The pieces finish up 1" wide, and the basic block is 8" square. We coordinate a solid and two calico prints for the dark side and use natural unbleached muslin on the light side. Like all Log Cabin designs, the basic blocks can be arranged in a number of ways to create different secondary patterns. The infant quilt pictured is sewn in the barn raising pattern.
