She was born in post war Germany of Concentration Camp surviving parents and immigrated to America with her family in 1962 .

She has lived in many parts of the world and taught in Israel, Italy, Hungary, Switzerland, Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Mexico, South America etc., and of course in the USA. She was educated in the States and Europe and now resides and has her permanent studio in Crown Heights, Brooklyn NY, where students from all parts of the world, come to study.

Since her late teens, she has been passionately involved with the physiology of the voice. She underwent throat surgery for the removal of vocal nodules, which nearly ruined her voice.

Almost losing her own instrument, set her on the quest of finding a methodology which would leave the voice without straining and forcing and achieve a perfectly vibrating, homogenized and "in line vocal production," without harming the instrument in any way. Giro-Vocal-Motion Technique (GVMT) allows the Voice to develop in a free, relaxed and easy manner and is indicated for all types of voices.

For almost thirty years, Miriam J. Arman has dedicated herself to working with the Voice, teaching and helping Singers at all stages of their careers in a multitude of ways. Speakers, actors and a many persons with severe vocal problems come to her and her GVMT ( Giro Vocal Motion Technuque Copyright ©) takes care of most problems, that would otherwise require Botox injections or surgical intervention.

Her teaching techniques are unique and without a doubt innovative and revolutionary. Her Master Classes, Seminars Lectures and Voice Clinics, are events not to be missed.

In 1981, she began her in-depth research of the Voice and Bel Canto Technique and in 1982 she moved to Italy and worked with Italian teachers and musicians; at La Scala di Milano with Maestro Adalberto Tonini, at the Teatro Regio di Torino and with Maestro Chain at the Milano Conservatory etc.

During her eleven and half year stay in Europe, she has worked with countless singers at Opera Houses, in Conservatories, Choirs and Philharmonic Societies.

She has written, directed and hosted various Television Shows dedicated to Art and Music in the States as well as in Europe and has produced and directed Stage and Opera productions. During her stay in Europe, she produced classical CD's for major labels.

She is also a noted Fine Artist with an extensive curriculum of International Exhibitions.
