Historical meeting and luncheon --THE LINUS PAULING INSTITUTE-- May 8th ,2007. In the picture gallery # six picture from left to right shows Dr.W.R. Meeks in the middle & on the left side Mr. Stephen Lawson.The administrative officer.He is uniquely qualified to talk about the Institute.Mr. Lawson worked very closely with Dr. Pauling until Pauling's death in 1994. He served as the CEO of the Institute prior to the move to Oregon State University. On the right is Mr. Scott Palmer --Director of development. The following pictures in the picture gallery ,our camera tried to capture Mr. Palmer as he headed the meeting. We understand that 30 people were invited to the Phoenix, Arizona meeting.In California there were three meetings held ,one in San Diego- 30 people - & two in the Los Angeles area of 25 & 30 people. Note : Quite a bit of time was spent on healthy aging. Interesting slides showed with rat research that their life span was increased by 50% when (2) vitamins were added to the rat's diet. Now with this break- through research Mr. Lawson mentioned that there is no reason that humans couldn't live to be 100 to 120 years old . This research was done with a $1,500,000 grant from the N.H.I. Linus Pauling Institute, which does not accept money from any Pharmaceutical companies.
