These 4 scientists spoke at the UC Berkeley campus on 24 July 2010 to express their profound concern about groundwater depletion, the contamination of surface waters, and the resulting global water crisis.
These 3 Nobel Laureates, among many other scientists and scholars, join with Dr. Ghosh to address this crisis and share expertise, science and technologies, from both "Old" and "Young" Worlds , to develop a working model, using the experiences of mitigation in the Bengal Basin, for emerging economies.
Dr. Ghosh appealed to show respect for water and air, and let us not mortgage the future of our children. He further emphasized that mutual respect will bring real world peace.
On 23 July 2011 several like-minded scientists and activists will speak on UC Berkeley campus to discuss these issues further. Please join us, and send your comments and suggestions, usak2@yahoo.com . For details see www.iibhb.org
