SEELER ENTERPRISES DIVER/CONSTRUCTION UNIT (LU-001) **THIS UNIT IS SPECIAL ORDER ONLY**  EQUIPMENT: 1. Storage case with detachable control panel. 2. Three (3) bottle oxygen manifold (10 ft. length) with individual stop valves. 3. 100 ft. working hose with electrical lead. 4. Battery/Generator lead and 50 ft. ground wire lead with necessary end fittings. 5. Heavy Duty Wire Cutters. CUTTING AT DEPTHS: When cutting at depths greater then 100 ft. it may be advisable to use 12mm cable in 50 ft. lengths. The 50 ft. length cuts down the friction in the cable allowing easier oxygen flow at greater depths. As far as can be ascertained cutting has been carried out at depths down to 300 ft. This probably is the limit for the equipment as a surface supplied unit. Longer extension leads are of course needed and can be supplied as specified. Federal Regulations stipulate that compressed gas bottles must be hydro tested every five (5) years. KEEP VALVES CLEAN. CUTTING INFORMATION: Example of use of the 12mm Exothermic Cable--To cut 15 sheet pillings underwater in good visibility: One pile cut every 2 1/2 minutes 4.25 ft. of cable consumed for each pile Total time to cut 15 piles, 40 minutes Total Exothermic Cable used 64 ft. Total oxygen consumed (3) 240 cu. ft. bottles Oxygen pressure 350 lbs. per square inch 12mm Exothermic Cable uses an oxygen flow of 14 cu. ft. to 18 cu. ft. per minute. 6mm Exothermic Cable uses an oxygen flow of 5 cu. ft. to 8 cu. ft. per minute The variables are size and length of cable or hose used and the depth of the water as well as the ability of the user. GOOD VISIBILITY: 1 ft. of 1 1/2" plate cut in 1 minute using approx. 2 ft. of 12mm Exothermic Cable. POOR VISIBILITY: 1 ft. of 1 1/2" plate cut in 1 1/2 minutes using approx. 3 ft. of 12mm Exothermic Cable. |
