Annie Louise Williams McKoy Archives Research Committee Annie Louise Williams McKoy
MISSION STATEMENT
The fundamental goal of The Annie Louise Williams McKoy Archives Research Committee is to provide an educational environment where students, visitors, and the community, can receive historical information and materials about Father Henry Evans (Founder), and to do research as it relates to Historic Evans Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. The Committee has undertaken a major project in developing a web site for the church. The website has been designed for the convenience of those who maybe involved with research, school projects, or just to learn more about Historical Evans Metropolitan A. M. E. Zion Church. The Committee values the contributions of church members, the community, state, and nation, and is dedicated to preserving the historical integrity of the church.
Feel free to contact us to schedule a tour of our church and archives/museum. Information is available to the public on our website. The website is available for viewing twenty-four (24) hours a day at: www.evansmetropolitan.org

Nannye M. Robinson (left) receives historical information about Evans Metropolitan A. M. E. Zion Church from Annie Louise Williams McKoy (right-deceased). Mrs. McKoy has contributed a vast amount of historic information about the 200 years church. She has been a member of Evans Metropolitan Church since birth. All of her family members, dating back to the 1800's, grew up in the 200-year- old church. Pictures of her Ancestor dawn the Rosetta "Pat" Darlington Family Room located on the second floor of the Catherine Davis McNeill Archive Memorial Complex. Mrs. McKoy has contributed very valuable items to the Archives. Her high school graduation dress (1932) has been beautifully framed and hangs in the Family Room. Her grandmother's necklace and matching earring along with all of her family members' pictures are now housed in this room. Mrs. McKoy has been a valuable member of the Archives Committee since it's inception in 1983. |
