Welcome to our virtual perioperative education classroom sponsored by SurgeryPro. Our homebase is located in Kirtland, Ohio at Lakeland Community College in the Perioperative Learning Laboratory, H107. We are striving to be the largest and most comprehensive Perioperative Learning Center in Ohio.
Please use one of the selections in the left column to find information about each type of perioperative offering at Lakeland. Course descriptions are located in the college catalog at www.lakelandcc.edu.
If you are new to the operating room or need help with knowledge or skill building....contact us. We can help with resources, information, and perhaps a good old fashioned pep talk. Nurses and CSTs who are interested in being published or co-authoring articles or chapters in textbooks are encouraged to contact us.
Attention RNFA Participants!
Perioperative nurses, who wish to attend the June or October 2012 RNFA Basic Course can send their name, mailing address, telephone number, and student ID number in an email to nancymphillips@aol.com.
Potential RNFA participants need to apply to the college for a student ID number. The registrar's office will be notified of your verified credentials and you will not be blocked from registering for the course. ***You do not need to apply to the formal nursing program, send transcripts, or take pre-entrance exams.***
When formally registered you will recieve the official credentialing documents in email. These will be PDF documents you can print, fill out, and return by postal mail to the office of Perioperative Education at the following adress:

You will need to include the following documents: completed check list from the packet, copy of nursing license, certifications, photo ID (can photocopy your work ID or other valid photo ID), and proof of liability insurance. Other documents include two letters of reference and one C-V (resume') from a mentoring surgeon.
Please include the name of the facility (or facilities) where you plan to do your independent internship. Lakeland does not establish affiliation agreements with your facility.
