East-West Mileage Challenge

The Second Annual Inter-Chapter Mileage Contest has officially kicked off as of April Fools Day.

Riders wishing to participate need to get their respective mileage reading to the appropriate challenge coordinator- George Woolcock service@hdcoosbay.com on the coast and Bill (Country) Hagedorn bill_hagedorn@yahoo.com over in the valley.

This year, the contest has taken a different turn. Last year's second place team--the Eastside--will have a better chance of capturing the trophy.  For 2011 they only need to achieve twice the scratch miles than the Westside.

Both Chapter Divisions need to have all members participate--every mile ridden between April 1 and September 30 will count---but the sooner you submit your starting mileage, the sooner your tally begins.

The winner gets custody of the handsome trophy that is currently on display at Highway 101 H-D.

Westside Mileage Challenge

Not to be confused with the East-West Challenge, the Westside will once again hold a mileage contest between members. Get your starting mileage to Head Road Captain Todd Heflin  tddheflin@gmail.com.  This is for mileage from January to November. Mileage marker tickets will be awarded for every 500 miles you ride. Each ticket will go into a bucket and there will be a drawing at the 2011 Christmas party for prizes. The more miles, the more tickets and more chances to win.
