AREAS OF EXPERTISE

Colleen Person is a senior consultant with Creative Health Care Management whose goal is transform health care and strengthen results through Relationship-Based Care. She provides facilitation, consultation and education services in transforming health care delivery with a focus on in-patient environments.  She brings a positive, practical and effective approach to the challenges of organizational, team and individual development in health care.  Using innovative strategies grounded in Appreciative Inquiry, Strategic Planning, Change Management, Dialogue and Circle Practice Colleen partners with clients to design, implement and continuously improve Relationship-Based Care as a comprehensive methodology for an organization to achieve its vision and desired outcomes. 

CURRENT PROJECTS

With Relationship-Based Care as the organizing framework and Appreciative Inquiry as the methodology Colleen conducts organizational assessments and design; provides consultation throughout the course of the development; conducts the Relationship-Based Care Practicum and facilitates educational workshops including Reigniting the Spirit of Caring and Leadership at the Point of Care.  Colleen finds joy, meaning and purpose in facilitating organization, group and individual development.  With a deep passion for the patient and family experiences in health care, audiences find her to be inspirational and informative.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

From extensive clinical, administrative and consultative experiences in settings throughout the continuum of care, she brings a positive and practical orientation to the challenges and change processes in health care today.  She has been a consultant with Creative Health Care Management for 15 years and served as Vice President for 9 years.

CREDENTIALS

She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from South Dakota State University and her Masters of Management and Administration from Metropolitan State University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with a focus on Organizational Development.   She is Affiliate Faculty, University of Minnesota School of Nursing and has completed coursework in Appreciate Inquiry at Case Western Reserve University.
