WORKSHOPS for CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT

BTA offers workshops across California for development of clinical skills, as well as for license exam preparation.  All BTA Workshops and Seminars are personally presented by Stan Taubman, PhD, unless otherwise noted.

  • The registration fee for each two day Workshop during 2010 is $250.

2010 WORKSHOP SCHEDULE

All Classes Meet from 9 am until 4 pm



DIAGNOSIS IN DEPTH (12 CEU's)

This two day workshop workshop for post-masters degree clinical practitioners, provides a thorough review of the full DSMIV TR diagnostic manual.  An engaging workshop with a variety of in class quizes, videotaped and written case illustrations, and differential diagnosis exercies.  Participants learn to...

  • enrich their clinical assessments by addressing the full range of diagnostic options
  • better utilize the Mental Status Exam as a basis for formulating differential diagnoses
  • better distinguish between closely related conditions (differential diagnosis)
  • recognize and avoid commonl diagnostic errors such as underdiagnosis of co-occurring conditions and misdiagnosis of mutually exclusive disorders

Videotaped and written case illustrations will be presented for analysis and discussion, as well as a variety of differential diagnosis exercises.

* March 25 & 27, 2010 (Friday & Saturday) in Emeryville, CA 

In California BTA is approved (Provider #PCE 114) by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

BTA is also certified by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) to provide workshops, seminars and self-study courses (CE Provider #ACE1010).
